Just a short story for the gist of it: I've met this woman whom I greatly enjoy talking to, who is also very beautiful, extroverted, outgoing and social. We met at church and spoke on a few ocassions. When I talked to her she always looked me straight in the eyes without breaking away and all that. She mentioned a bit casually that she and her friends hosted regular get-togethers back at their campus and that I should come. I said I'd think about it, flash forward to the Sunday before the Tuesday for the get-together and without me saying anything she goes out of her way to ask me if her friend had added me to their whatsapp group, I say no and she does so personally immidiately *and* adds me to her personal whatsapp (even though she didn't need to). Now at the actual events where I've attended thrice now, she's been a bit more "distant" I suppose, not really initating convos, at times I think even avoiding eye contact. Last time though me, her and my sister who went along spoke and she mentioned that she "overheard" my conversation nearby with another guy when I talked about how "it could be a movie the way you met your wife", even though she was at that time in the midst of a high-pace card game, and she commented on hearing something about "romantic movies" (I nor he said nothing of romance at any point).

So am I being silly here, is it just "normal extroverted girl behavior" or is there something to gauge here in the form of romantic interest or attraction? Thankful for input. I feel like the invite and whatsapp deal could be a sign but I'm chronically cynical lol.

Like seriously, number one rule on a first date... DO NOT, talk about your past relationships. You are not there to rehash your past, it about trying to make a connection with the other person and building a possible future.

Like seriously, this woman would not get off your past relationship, every time I tried to make conversation go a different way it came back to her and previous heartbreaks.

She starts straight up crying, she is like I am so sorry, it not you, it's me. She excuses herself to go to the bathroom. She comes back and she is like,

"I am so sorry it is not you. Actually, you are being so nice and sweet, and you are very good looking, it's just that..."

"I interrupt her, it's that you are not ready to be dating yet period, right?"

she's says, "I am so sorry, but yes. I just had no idea, until right now."

I said, "Yeah, I get it. You're like the fourth woman I met online, that comes online and thinks they are not going to meet a real person and when they do, they freak out because they are not ready yet."

She says, " Yeah, you are right, but it's not you. I am so sorry; you are so nice and handsome..."

Again, I just say, "just stop, you do not think I do not know I am a nice person? You do not think I know that I am a nice-looking man? Like I have heard that shit my whole life, and I do not need to hear it from you. Obviously, it's not enough for you, so basically after weeks of talking and you assured me you were ready, you basically wasted my time today."

I walked her to the car and wished her well in life.

How many of you have had something like this happen to you?

There’s this guy that I randomly met at a drag show. I started being friendly cause he was there alone. We exchanged instagrams and he told me he needed friends to go to shows with cause his friends weren’t into it.

I was like sure, whatever. We went to one show with another one of my friends and it was fine.
Then we went to another show with just me and him and honestly…I’m gagged lol

We went through a drive through and he was super rude to the worker for no reason. He was rude to people sitting next to us at the show. He was being super judgmental. This is the second time we’ve gone out and I’ve seen enough of his character…he’s such a bitch and I’m good lol. He admitted it too, he was like “yeah I’m such a bitch if you can’t tell 🤪” like no baby I can tell, and it’s not cute.

this is why I need to stop being so friendly with literal strangers, that’s on me.

So anyways. There’s another show coming up and he was saying “oh we need to go”
And I know my actual friends were talking about going. I don’t want to invite him lol.
Should I be honest and tell him straight up that I’m not a fan of his rude behavior…
Or should I just like ghost/come up with an excuse

cause I know he’s gonna hit me up about going together.
