Would you date someone with kind of bad teeth?

So I went on a first date with a guy I’ve been talking with for a while. We really got along, he was attractive and I would be happy to go on a second date!

The thing is (and I’m wondering if this would be a turn off for me) is his teeth are quite weird. They are all straight and look fine, but he has some like weird almost brown patches on his two front teeth… it looks like he brushes them though, so it’s quite weird..

It’s a shame because I liked the rest of how he looked. Is this something I could get over? I don’t wanna sound shallow but it was a bit off putting.

How would you react to this? Should I even bother with a second date? I don’t wanna sound harsh but I wonder how enjoyable it would be to kiss him 😬

How dark were the brown patches?

That's probably due to not getting the Dentist hygienist to clean them. If he doesn't go to the Dentist he's supposed to learn to do this for himself. You can get ultrasonic tartar cleaners and other Dental tools to do this. A polisher can be used to finish that off too. This strongly suggests his dental hygiene is in serious question. Deal breaker...

By the way, you might not want to kiss... when you don't look after your teeth there can be overgrowth of bacteria in the mouth.

So it looked like he brushed them because they weren’t completely yellow? They just had these weird brown marks on them.

That looks like tartar build up and brushing will not remove that! It's a sign of poor dental hygiene.

Hmm this is a tough one…. I mean that’s always something that could be fixed but I suppose you don’t wanna go into a relationship with something you would already change about them. I think if you two really hit it off it would be a shame not to see him again. You don’t have to immediately kiss him either, just see how you feel on the next date

My father used to say that when you date a girl you should check out her teeth. If she has bad teeth she probably does not take such good care of herself. If she doesn't take care of herself she probably won't take care of you either.
