So I am trying online dating because I'm in a small town & the local population is mostly welfare, addicts & other issues (I'm not local just live/work here).

Anyway one of the guys I met "online" but haven't physically met - we've just been texting, etc. - has come to the conclusion he loves me, that what we have is special, etc. Keep in mind he's spouting all this though not met and he says when we do meet he wants to make for a long-weekend holiday time next month and book a hotel while here as well though we only live in neighboring cities (so not long travel).

Personally I have a very hard time believing the legitimacy of his words and not just seeing it as hot air to get into my pants.

It was 8 years we were together then he choose someone else over me. We have 3 kids. He’s not made any attempts to see the kids nor wants anything to do with them now.

He’d always say nice things about me etc. forget how attractive I was etc. we had loads of sex. We had crazy sexual tension etc

Did he lie to get me? Now he has someone who’s easier and doesn’t bother him and he doesn’t need to have kids with

He couldn’t stand me asking him to be a dad and a decent one. He wanted to always be alone away from the kids but to also sleep with me.
