Were you a stay at home mom?
I ask this because what I've seen happen is the guy needs to works hard to provide and he knows if she doesn't, you gone. So it's weird to say but, the job had to be his higher priority to provide for y'all 4, vs the priority to give you all this time, take you in dates, listen to the neighborhood gossip, etc.

in my opinion, after kids 4, women need to get back to workforce and kids go to preschool. Both parents, tackle the tasks that need to be done
