Search Results: all relationships are complex

My boyfriend and I have been together for about two years and five months now. He’s always been upfront about being complex and would often say “I’m complicated.” I accept it along with his strengths and attributes. Then as time went on, his unchecked complexities began creating unnecessary, ridiculous, foolish drama and nonsense. I am sincerely beginning to feel like his complexities are the equivalent to doing chores. It’s almost like he’s one of those people who thought it was attractive to be “complex” but as our relationship deepens, IT’S A PAIN IN THE ASS. His complexities are making it difficult for him to function like he has some damn sense in a relationship and they are EXHAUSTING for me because they need to be addressed every f*cking week. I find myself wishing he would have gotten his sh*t together mentally before he pursued a relationship instead of bringing all of his baggage to me for US to work through together. I’m not a professional therapist and he’s too lazy and prideful to fix his issues. Am I wrong for feeling burdened by my boyfriend’s complexities? What should I do about this?
