My bfs sister in law is always asking my boyfriend financial and work related questions and she’s always pushing my boyfriend to advance into supervisor at his job but he doesn’t want to because he’s comfortable and happy as he is now- he has his weekends and holidays off and we spend them together, my boyfriend and I both got very annoyed…. why is this her business for?

then another time my bfs brother kept asking for him to go full time somewhere and that he will have to work weeeknds and holidays - they know weeeknds and holidays are my only time to see my bf…..

are they jealous of our relationship or something? Why do they push so much and meddle so much for?

Your family is strict and constantly asks your boyfriend to go grocery shopping with you (his girlfriend) and go from store to store for about half the day. One day, your sister leaves the house (for good) and things are bad. your parents are distraught refusing to do anything but cry in bed. You call your boyfriend late at night and tell him there is no food at home that you’ll probably have to see if he can take you grocery shopping. He says ONE store. You say ill see, ill call u tomorrow bc what if i need you? He says thats fine, ill be here. You call and he says he won't take you because he is with his brother and his SO who just came down from 2 towns over. He has told you in the past he values family. You are upset but your boyfriend doesn’t understand why. Who is right?

The other day my boyfriend asked me if I would be mad if he hung out with people and did things while I was preoccupied. I said “no as long as you’re not hanging out with other girls without me because I know you wouldn’t like it if I hung out with other guys without you.” and he said he wouldn’t care as long as he trusted them (meaning his brother and a few his close friends) and so I said “okay then you can’t hangout with girls unless i trust them.” and he argued with me saying that there’s a difference between him hanging out with girls and me hanging out with guys (because it’s more likely that a guy will try to take advantage of me). I still feel like if you don’t want me doing it then you shouldn’t do it to me. It also makes me uncomfortable that one of his friends is a girl who has made it known to him that she wants to sleep with him (yes i’ve told him it makes me uncomfortable). He also rarely tells me about these friends that are girls and never invites me to meet them nor do they seem to inquire about me. am i wrong for this? am i being crazy? is there a reason he seems so insistent on hanging out with his friends that are girls without me?

Boyfriend booked a trip for a few days to spend time with a friend. I casually asked how they met since he lives across the country. He says they used to be roommates.

I noticed a friend suggestion on fb and noticed the friend he's going to see had the same last name as his ex. Turns out, his friend is his ex girlfriend's brother.

I think it's a tad dishonest he didn't tell me, but maybe he doesn't see the guy as his ex gfs brother?

More backstory: They broke up 2 years ago and a few weeks ago she called him and said nasty things about me (we don't know each other, so she just said a bunch of prejudiced things). One of his friends overheard the conversation and told me about it.

A few weeks later, he's flying to meet up with her brother (i dont think these things are related). She will not be there. He's not going to see her. She lives in another state and won't be there when he's there. I'm sure of that.

Just looking for different perspectives. It's not the end of the world, it just puts a bad taste I'm my mouth.

It's my brother's girlfriend.

She says she doesn't text good morning unless / until he does even though she might be awake.

I told him don't text at all tomorrow & see how long it takes her to text.

To me it's very bizarre - I was raised you text good morning regardless of who texts first.

And I have a feeling she's seeing other men - and his text morning or whatever else is just a reminder that he exists and as such she responds. There's undertones in her behavior that I do not trust to be blunt.
