I find it a little disturbing people are being accused of being Russia supporters and needs locked up for being a traitor for not supporting the failed Ukraine proxy war. Some of us support neither Russia or Ukraine and see the war for what it is, another failed proxy war that serves to benefit defense contactors at the expense of a few hundred thousands innocent people dying.

I am referring to the decade 2000-2009. Most of my school-age years were during this time. I would have to say my most favorite childhood year was 2004.

I believe the early-to-mid 2000s were the best, just prior to the Obama era. Most of this PC and SJW bullshit wasn't running rampant, and I feel there was order overall and everything held together fairly well. The divisiveness wasn't as apparent, but then again, I was an innocent child.

2004 was the year of the first SpongeBob Movie (before the show went to shit), mainstream pop and alternative was good, and I was rocking that GameCube, enjoying my Zelda Windwaker and Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of the Cortex. The town I grew up was a good, upper-middle-class family suburban town. It wasn't too crowded or crazy. The megachurch I went to had a good summer Vacation Bible School Program with state of the art performing arts with a Lord of the Rings theme. I had an awesome babysitter and we used to act goofy and make noises. Everything was still affordable and I didn't remember any money troubles. Kids still played outside and rode bikes and went trick-or-treating during Halloween. Christmas was still magical.

There are most certainly good things I have now that I wouldn't trade. Still, I reminisce about the good old days.

I got into a debate with another Gagger on this matter earlier today. So MY argument for why I think it's "Guilty unless proven innocent" is...

Yeah, that's how our legal system works, but what's the actual logic behind it? What specifically is it that makes "Innocent until proven guilty" correct?

I stand by my argument, and one of my professors in college made the same argument. "Innocent until proven guilty" just doesn't make any sense. And is it, really? Take that guy who stabbed those people in Idaho. He didn't even have a trial and the police and media were already saying the guy did it. So how is that "Innocent until proven guilty"?

It's Guilty unless proven Innocent. If you believe it's "Innocent unless proven guilty" prove me wrong.

Also, just because someone is found "innocent" doesn't mean they didn't do it. It just means they had a good lawyer.

Likewise, how many people were found guilty who were actually innocent?

And I'm only talking about the US here. I'm not talking about corrupt countries where police will lock up a random person just so they don't look bad.
