I met an amazing guy, who is my age.

So a friend have been arguing about his use of word "date" for context, he'd meet with some girls he knew as they did their thing whether it's shop or something like that then right after they would have sex because that's the main reason they called him out. I've been trying to tell him that's not technically a date then he throws in the fact that couples (he is S I N G L E) have sex after their dates. I try to explain it to him that it's completely different because the COUPLES are in a relationship. Is it a date if someone goes with the other person but one person expects sex after it?
