Search Results: how to get the perfect body

Since a little girl I was taught that my worth was how pretty I Iooked through tv, magazines and my mom. My mom was always afraid to age and men's attention validated her beauty. I was bullied a lot in high school because I suffered from depression and I let myself go and was very "tomboyish" to avoid boys attention due to trauma. Now as a young adult, I've learned to put on make-up and matured into my body... I'm a late bloomer :-) I always felt pressured to always look good so I wouldn't be bullied. Guys never talked to me before and now I get a lot more attention. I feel though I'm sometimes fixated on my weight and looks because people can be cruel.

However, it seems like men also have societal pressures to have a perfect body too. I've learned that women can be very superficial when selecting a mate and that can be hard to cope.

I don't know about fears of aging or in comparison to women?
