It’s true that men are more likely to turn to unhealthy, self destructive and even violent means to deal with repressed emotions. More alcoholism, drugs, crime, fighting, risky activities, etc. Shorter lifespans too

Now if we have productive means to deal with our emotions e. g. sports, meaningful work, exercise, projects, inventions, hobbies, etc that can be a good thing. But even that can only go so far in my opinion.

My approach is that men should absolutely seek help but do it PRIVATELY. Join prívate mens groups, get counseling, attend private support groups, etc. But don’t go around telling people about it unless it’s someone you can 100% trust (best friend or a family member). Don’t go into details about it with the woman you are dating either.

We have to put on a different face in public and especially around women.

Personally I am so f*cking fed up with women who keep encouraging men to “open up” about their feelings and emotions. It’s has to be the most insidious shit test of them all. Once a man does this she feels relief that he is more “relatable” since he is acting more like a woman. But at the same time she loses attraction and RESPECT if he acts this way.

Most women have no idea how important it is that they want women to RESPECT them as real men. That is subconsciously the biggest Freudian motivation for men to act the way they do (for better or worse). Yet women want to destroy that for the short term “relief” they get for seeing a man get emotional.

I mean hell women even seem to find nurses attractive. Now I understand attraction is subjection. But I know a lot of men find women in uniform extremely attractive as well. Feel free to explain why or why not you think that or if you have mixed feelings.

I will go first. Yeah it's hot not going to lie and really attractive.

Wondering if I should try dating more mediocre (yet good personality) women. I do not have unrealistic expectations. Most women see me as a 7 or 8 physically looking relative for my age. Should I give a few 6s a chance? There are a lot of them out there.

Asymmetric romantic attraction is one person has feelings and the other does not. The person who has feelings isn’t thinking clearly because chemicals are (naturally) being released in their brains compromising their judgment. But the other person can see everything as plain as day because they aren’t attracted to them hence little/no brain chemicals.

So person who has no feelings has to make a decision on how to handle a person they have influence over. The moral thing to do is be tactfully honest with the other person (and do it early). But we don’t live in a moral world so the following usually happens:

Scenario #1: Man manipulates the woman into sex when she is thinking there is going to be a relationship. Worst case scenario he gets her pregnant and abandones her.

Scenario #2: Woman manipulated the man into thinking she likes him when she doesn’t. She does this for attention, favors, free meals, free counseling, etc (stereotypical friéndzone).

Worst case scenario is she is a gold digger. Yeah she has to give him up to him at the point but she gets a huge payout for faking it. She will likely divorce him and screw him over in alimony (and she likely cheated during the marriage). She never had feelings for at all. Just a good actress.

Now roles can be reversed at times. Some women do use men only for sex and some men do seek out “suger mamas”. Some men do friéndzone women for their own ends. However for is just not as common. However I will say it is at least biologically natural to want to have sex with someone even if you don’t want a relationship. However using a person for money, ego, attention, favors, etc is downright conceited.

Anyway I got in a long “debate” with a feminist on here who believed that men should be held liable if they mislead a woman into sex. But she had no problem with women taking advantage of men via the friéndzone or worse (gold diggers). Not kidding.

I argue that BOTH genders need to watch out for themselves.

I hate to say it but as man I usually have my mind made up within 30 seconds of meeting a woman of how physically attracted I am to her.

Emotional attraction does still weigh heavily into it though. She can be hot af but if I can’t stand her personality and/or she’s has no genuine interest in me I can move on. I can also move on a lot faster nowadays vs. when I was younger.

But the issue is often come across women I find that are 5’s or 6’s. They aren’t repugnant or anything but I don’t feel any butterfly’s in my stomach either. More often than not they really like me because while I am nice to them I also don’t bend over backwards for them either. I’m just as happy to be there or not be there. Either way is fine. So it’s easy to be myself.

But as a man I find that the ugly truth is I have never found myself growing in attraction for average looking women despite some of them having excellent personalities. I really have tried to “check myself” on this. Tell myself to look deeper. Tell myself to “grow up”. Feel guilty af about it.

But if tried to force myself to date and commit to average looking yet great personality girls in the past. It always ends in disaster. I quickly lose interest in sex and find myself having less patience about their problems. And I know that’s not fair at all.

Is it possible for a man to slowly fall in love with a woman he isn’t attracted to?

I am asking this because I have an opportunity to get married to an average looking girl who is outstanding in all other ways. She’s a very hard worker, respectful, excellent personality, moderate conservative, has no vices, etc. She’s also younger (27) yet mature and independent.

Yet she has a rather unattractive face and I feel Iike complete shit saying that. She’s was born with that those facial features and has zero control over them. I keep kicking myself not to judge that but it’s hard.

If you say that's too early to him, he will respond back by saying he falls in love quick and has a loving attitude and he's being honest about it.
