29F, I just have certain expectations even though it’s still super early on. I’d normally reply to his msgs on the apps in the evening time daily, I don’t have the capacity to be on the apps any more often than that. He asked to go to dinner, I said I’d prefer to speak on the phone first, he understood & we spoke yesterday on the phone with my # hidden. He made the plan for us to go to dinner Friday & 10 min after our call yesterday afternoon, he asked if I had discord. When I replied in the evening yesterday, he replied this morning asking to use discord to do the video chat if that helps & said sorry for taking long to reply. Now I feel like since this past Sunday he hasn’t been msging as often, firm believer no one is TOO busy when you’re actually interested. He said he couldn’t do the video chat today but can make time tomorrow, I proposed a time & if he pushes back, I might just bail on Friday.

My boyfriend (29) and I (27) were dating for almost 4 years. We lived together in a rental for 3 years. We talked about buying a house and had multiple house viewing. After 6 months one of our offers on a house was accepted. The day before we had to sign the contract he said he can’t do it because he needs to live on his own first. He feels like he missed out on that experience because he went to live with me right out of college. He says he hates himself for it and is embarrassed but it’s just something he needs to do. He found a rental for a year and is planning to move in next week. He says he still loves me and hopes we can be together again after he found himself. Also that he was planning on proposing to me next year but this is just something he has to do. Should I stay around or leave him?
