The last time I “dated” someone I was 23, we were in a STR for about 3 months & it ended because to me it felt like settling. Since then, I’ve met up with men from dating apps on and off throughout the years. Maybe 1-3 were kind of sketchy, that was in my early twenties too but since then all the other ones were decent but I just didn’t feel them. And I think it was mutual, sometimes I’d hear back, sometimes I wouldn’t but it was known the feeling was reciprocated. I’m old let’s admit it, I’ve never been in love but intimacy scares me & I don’t really have much of a sex drive at all. Sometimes I have to ask myself if I like men because even though I know I do, I do not like any of these guys in the end. When we communicate on the app it seems fine but when I meet them in person I’m just so bleh towards them. They don’t catfish me, they just don’t live up to my expectations & I’ve learnt to not have any at this point in my life. I don’t like women sexually or romantically, I didn’t meet up with anyone in 2022 & today was the first time I met up with someone from
Hinge. Clearly was meh, should I just toss in the towel? Is it simply a case of just not meeting the ONE? Let me know if you have any follow up questions

So my boyfriend used to work with this female co worker and he sometimes talk about her and activities she has done with her boyfriend. There's been a couple times where we would do things that she has done with her boyfriend and 1\2 we have done worked out. So anything she kind of does or says it seems like he put her on a pedal stool. Also before she switched departments my boyfriend seemed to have liked these healthy snacks I would make and then all of a sudden he would keep asking for the healthy snacks for his "coworkers" every other week because he has told me she loved them as well as other coworkers. When she switched departments he all of a sudden stopped asking for the healthy snacks for him to bring into work.

He has also mentioned briefly one time considering switching departments where she is when talking about his career or ideas she has with her career. He said they are really good friends and he has had no feelings towards each other/ nothing has happened between them. Whenever I mentioned a double date or meeting her he seems hesitant to set something up with her because she lives a bit far but still manageable to meet halfway.

Am I overthinking this or do you think there's something there either between them/ him having feelings?

29F, we have been speaking for maybe 2 weeks but haven’t spoken that much, in the sense maybe 1-2 replies a day. And I guess that is somewhat my fault, I only check the app in the evenings & that’s when I send msgs. He gave his # when I asked if he had social media & he doesn’t, that’s when I said I’d prefer to wait a bit longer before sharing my # & he seemed to understand. He asked if I’ve been to this local restaurant because they have great sushi & he thinks I’d like them, we confirmed the time earlier this week. It’s odd because I say I prefer hinge based off the conversations & guys I seemed to “attract” from the app but never actually met up with one in person. I feel like if I decide to meet him tomorrow, I’ll no longer have this higher opinion of the app. And while I know all the apps have good & bad, I’m still kind of wary. At the same time, my expectations of this guy are non existent, when he gave his number I did a quick search on him & no criminal record/no social media found. I just feel like I’m kind of used to speaking to the guy (s) a bit more on daily basis before meeting up, I asked if he wanted to do a call prior & he said he was fine either way.
