Is it ok for me ( born and bought up in Mumbai - school college and job in Mumbai too) to marry someone who is not from Mumbai ( he is from Odisha) and he wants to settle in Odisha in the long term future. So I will have to sacrifice my everything in Mumbai - job, maternal family in Mumbai, kids and settle with my husband in Odisha. So is it wise as a girl to sacrifice so much for a man she loves? He said me that he can't sacrifice his hometown and parents of 30 years, against our serious relationship of 2 years and won't settle in Mumbai. (Despite his job in Mumbai as he wants his options open to be able to settle in Odisha. ) My parents are attached to me so they will not like me settling in Odisha and I from within my heart hoped for him to settle in Mumbai coz his and my job is in Mumbai. What to do? Is it true that if a guy really loves me, will be sacrifice his everything and settle with me in Mumbai? His parents and mine parents don't like this intercaste..

The last time I “dated” someone I was 23, we were in a STR for about 3 months & it ended because to me it felt like settling. Since then, I’ve met up with men from dating apps on and off throughout the years. Maybe 1-3 were kind of sketchy, that was in my early twenties too but since then all the other ones were decent but I just didn’t feel them. And I think it was mutual, sometimes I’d hear back, sometimes I wouldn’t but it was known the feeling was reciprocated. I’m old let’s admit it, I’ve never been in love but intimacy scares me & I don’t really have much of a sex drive at all. Sometimes I have to ask myself if I like men because even though I know I do, I do not like any of these guys in the end. When we communicate on the app it seems fine but when I meet them in person I’m just so bleh towards them. They don’t catfish me, they just don’t live up to my expectations & I’ve learnt to not have any at this point in my life. Even with no actual experience I still believe I fall under this category, I wonder if I need to manifest the law of attraction or something even though I do think that’s bs.

You know when you have a gut feeling? I’ve been on and off the dating apps for years, it’s come to the point where I’m not as interested & I swipe on matches/reply to msgs every few days. Dating apps are the only way I’ve tried dating as I dont have a social life but dating apps have been successful for quite a few people I know. I’ve never had a real relationship, I saw someone for a few months maybe 5 years ago & something told me after I saw him that’d I’d be single for a long time. With him it felt like settling & I refuse to ever be with someone that made me feel like that again.

I had to use dating apps bc I’m not very friendly & I don’t get approached in person. I’m told I’m cute/attractive & I will say I have a very low sex drive (haven’t masturbated or had sex in 5 years). I don’t think this is a huge deal considering this isn’t something that will be an issue that early on, a guy can’t just look at my profile/see me in person & know that right off the bat.

I get matches (never been the issue) but it’s always: ghosting, fizzling out, lack of interest (can go both ways), feelings not reciprocated, just not a good match & some guys are just crazy. I just always have a gnawing feeling like guys aren’t attracted to me, I’d get told once in a while that some guy looked at me/found me cute but they never do anything about it. And I don’t either hence why I’m posting this

However someone seemingly great comes along, you fall in love, and although everyone else failed to change you, this one person has talked you into disregarding your dealbreakers and so much more. 28F & I haven’t ever been in a LTR, I saw someone for a few months when I was 23 & that felt like settling. The bar is set even higher now & I’d rather be single than in a mediocre relationship. Ever since I was a teen I always felt like a lot of the girls were boy crazy & were so hyped about sex I thought they were overreacting. I thought I was a late bloomer & figured that feeling would happen to me eventually but it still hasn’t. I never really felt the pressure to date until I was close to graduating HS/ starting college & even then I had this feeling that felt kind of ick. I still do & the fact that I don’t care about sex at all to this day makes me think about asexuality. But I battle between wondering if I want companionship, hence I use the dating apps casually. Overthinking it & deep down does it just sound like I haven’t found the right person?

28F, only thing I know for certain is I have anxiety & my self esteem could be better. But, nothing too terrible that makes me incapable of finding a LTR.
