These punishments are from Finland. Nice country many ways, but very socialistic and has some problems (mostly caused by an overdose of socialism). I'm sure you'll find these punishments for crimes shocking.

Theft or a Fraud: a fine - 1.5 years
Grand Theft or an Aggravated Fraud: 4 months - 4 years
Kill: 8 years - 12 years
Murder: 12 years - 15 years (life sentence, but nobody sits over 15 years)
Rape: 1 year - 4 years
Aggravated Rape: 2 years - 10 years
Sexual Abuse of a Minor: 4 months - 4 years
Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Minor: 1 year - 10 years
Drug Usage: a fine - 6 months
Drug Crime: a fine - 2 years
Aggravated Drug Crime: 1 year - 10 years

This is not all! If you're a first timer (means no major charges in last couple years), your sentence gets cut in half. Also you serve only a third, if you're under 21 years old, and a "first timer". It means that I could rape someone, sell drugs or commit a grand theft, and they would probably let me with parrol (which in here doesn't even have an effect to your life). If I would kill someone, I would spend like 3 years in a prison, but no worries, those prisons are like hotels. I think all this is disgusting. Might as well shut down the police forces and prisons, and turn this into a wild west. All politicians and even the people are far left socialists, so why do I expect anything...
