I believe so, much more like a techno-dystopia.

We are in an era where we cannot afford homes and struggle to attain even the basic essentials, but we can manage to have smartphones and tech in which our eyes are glued to all day, tuning out what is going on around us.

Many of us are over-worked, picking up entry-level jobs because the middle class is being decimated. Once the beacon of prosperity and advancement is becoming no more. The rungs on the ladder of success and growth are becoming much wider apart.

Meanwhile, the predatory push for the "Own nothing; be 'Happy'" approach continues to thrive, and as people are being scattered everywhere, homeownership becomes more out of reach and land continues to be grabbed up to build high-density apartment rentals.

People have become cold, anti-social, and hostile in public, especially on the roads where it is a war zone. Loneliness and isolation are becoming the norm. Men have become emasculated and testosterone levels are plummeting.

The air is becoming more flat and thin. The big pollinators, the bees, are dying off, and the foliage looks less lush.

We are in the midst of a volunteer firefighter shortage, and as most of the fire departments in the US are volunteer-run with a rise of emergency calls that have tripled, our public safety infrastructure is crumbling. There is less optimism and motivation of generosity to help each other.

The government is out to serve themselves and their special interest groups, while ignoring the needs of the people overall. The government spies on their own citizens and doesn't want us to have individuality or autonomy. The greatest threat to them is living off grid, free of bureaucracy and control. They want you to be their sheep.

I just can't get these girls. They match on Tinder, they respond and then 2 hours later I find myself unmatched! I can't get it.

This particular girl I matched with when I was abroad. She said hi first. I replied telling her that I was on vacation and stuff. Then we didn't chat more. Today about 12 days later I sent her Happy Chrsitmass. To my amazement she answered within 5 minutes with a Happy Xmass to you too. I pressed like on her message. And that's all I did. I did not bother her or anything. And then about 2 hours later I went to open my Tinder app to check her profile a bit to see her pics because I did find her attractive, and I found that she had unmatched me!!!

Can someone explain? It's always the same story. Or if not always lets say very often. Like who the fuck do these girls think they are? Imagine if you are in a relationship with a girl and one slip and that's it she pulls off the plug. OR not even a wrong slip, because I haven't done anything to her, still she pulls of the plug for nothing. :( I can't believe it.

As the title asks - How did your kids finally find out about the truth about how Santa works and what age were they when they found out?

Did they find out on their own? Others tell them like their classmates or family members? Or with today’s technology - indoor cameras - did they catch Santa without the infamous red and white hat coat and pants?

I ask because…. I blew it! I’ve never felt so bad in my life! I fell asleep and then my son woke me up with the most disappointed face ever …. but he wasn’t crying. But I completely broke down because I failed him. 💔💔💔😢😢😢 I failed him as a father. I sent him to the bathroom and then the Santa haul was brought out. When he came out he saw it all and realized. But he thanked me all the same. Even though he now knows, he still wants to continue Santa. I don’t blame him one bit. I also told him the truth about the Easter bunny and why the tooth fairy stopped coming. (Except for 3-4 baby teeth he accidentally swallowed, I kept every tooth mainly because of stem cells, he might need them in future)

And I know you’re going to say he’s old enough to know - he’s 13. But unless he’s playing me, he really believed.

I’ve never felt worse in my life. Merry Christmas…not in my case or his. 💔💔💔😢😢

I think its true. I have always functioned on the following rule

"Mind what people do, not only what they say, for deeds will betray a lie."

"Do not believe what a person says over their actions. For it is what a person does, and not just says, that will reveal to you the reality of their words/intent."

Meaning they dont necessarily have a tendency make bad decisions that came back to bite them, it just seems like they have random unfortunate things happen more often than most
