My girlfriend just bought her house. I thought moving in with her would be an opportunity to save money, but I don't know if it’s worth it. I’d only be paying $700 for everything, but I don't know if I can live the way she lives.

That sort of communications data could be even more useful if hackers could observe it in real time. It's was unclear whether the hackers could have gained access to unencrypted texts.

The investigation into the extent of the hacking a/& any national security damage is in its early stages. Whether such an attack could monitor or record phone conversations is difficult to know, & whether the hackers could read or intercept texts, for example, would depend on which messaging apps the targets used & how that data moved over Verizon's systems.
