Recently, I have been listening to Cat Stevens music from the olden days, stuff that was recorded years before his eventual conversion to Islam. Apparently he was involved in a controversy about saying an author of a book should die because of the book's blasphemous content. Because of this, some protested by boycotting his songs.

Following Ayatollah Khomeini's February 14, 1989 "death fatwa" against author Salman Rushdie, after the publication of Rushdie's novel The Satanic Verses, Yusuf Islam (previously known as Cat Stevens), made statements endorsing the killing of Rushdie. His statements generated criticism from commentators in the West.

In response, Yusuf Islam said that some of his comments were "stupid and offensive jokes" made in "bad taste."

In a 2000 Rolling Stone magazine interview:

So, after many years, I'm glad at least now that I have been given the opportunity to explain to the public and fans my side of the story in my own words. The next day the newspaper headlines read, "Cat Says, Kill Rushdie." I was abhorred, but what could I do? I was a new Muslim. If you ask a Bible student to quote the legal punishment of a person who commits blasphemy in the Bible, he would be dishonest if he didn't mention Leviticus 24:16

So he has some serious anger issues. A few months ago he almost hit me during a verbal "confrontation" --- I put confrontation in quotes because he's calling me trash, piece of shit, etc., whereas I may have called him an idiot. He has moved in a way that our mother thinks he's going to strike her.

And tonight in an event where he's again cursing and swearing, etc., he punches at or kicks at our disabled father shouting for dad to get into another room.

I think he's cracked in the head. Nuts. Not just his anger issues but he's got severe control issues. There is no reason - not in upbringing, etc. - that he should act like this.

Personally I'd hate to be his girlfriend / wife as he's got all the signs of abusive controlling asshole.

There is nothing in the Bible that mentions abortion. Prove me wrong... I dare people, quotes or references otherwise... stfu as you're uneducated & ignorant.

Exodus 21:22 is the closest thing and that relates only to an act of violence (two men fighting) in which the pregnant woman (/wife) of one is struck and miscarries in which the offender must pay for the loss. Not unlike how an offender must pay for a wrongly killed cow.
