Electric cars are a step in the right direction but the battery waist is still a big problem. I really love how the covid pandemic has increased Bicycle sales. Bicycles can be just as fast as cars in many situations as specialy if there not impeded by existing automobiles. A bicycle can on average travel around 20+ miles an hour and wouldn't require stop lights and other regulations making up for the lack of speed. Bicycles are the way to go. If you don't want to be bothered by the weather someone will inevitably make a cover/roof you can put over the bike to protect from weather if the demand is high enough mabye even heated ones.

Now it is but if we can make bicycles the primary mode of transportation we can work out the speed isues in many ways. We can invent faster bicycles, make towns and cities more compact and close together and I'm sure other ways as well.

Actually It could totally work for family's take a page from India and there rickshaws there basically adult tricycles with multiple seats perfect for a family.

@Slingblade1126 Ya winter can be brutal but with enough demand we could possibly manufacture heated cabs to fit over the bicycles shouldn't be to hard. Get some canvas and sew a clear vinyl wind screen over it and use stiff wire to hold its shape. Then for heat a dynamo moter could be installed so when you peddle it powers a small portable heater.

I have an idea. Build a steel frame and put four tires under it. Then put more steel, metal, fiberglass... what ever, on top of the frame to build an enclosed compartment. Use clear glass as a way to see where you're going. Finally, put an engine in that bitch, add gas and away we go!

My brother is an electrical engineer that owns his own business. He said the country experiences blackouts an brownouts, and now Joey thinks we have the electrical infrastructure to run electric vehicles. It won't work.
