Alright before anyone attack me with this question I wonder how is your guys views on masculinity and femininity. Me personally I tend to prefer to do a lot of manly man tasks but I wouldn't really consider myself full blown masculine because I do have some hobbies and passions that most people would consider as feminine but I don't care. But I wonder about you gentlemen or ladies out there, how do you guys and girls live your life? Are you guys and girls the traditional feminine women and masculine men or you don't believe in the concept of assign gender activities and careers?

Masculinity- Assertive, Commanding, Independent! Being a man, you don't cry, have to be the one who is the breadwinner and make money for the family. Must always be ready in case of danger.

Femininity- Beauty, Caring, Dependable! Being a woman you must be able to relie on a man to take care of you. Must be an excellent cook, and have to become a housewife and a mother.


I wonder how do you guys view the gender roles, do you guys live with them and approve of them or you guys completely hate stereotypical gender roles?

I suffer from high-functioning autism, am really good with beginner social interactions and social media, and I see a video of a girl and a guy doing TikTok booty dances in the same video, I immediately feel jealous. Addison Rae did the same crap with her BROTHER. People thought that was her boyfriend.

Guys and gals can make friends without ever making it sexual or even a date. I just have a hard time making friends, ESPECIALLY FEMALE friends, outside of school because of my shyness and outbursts. I need to start putting my damn self in other people's shoes. Autistic men have no sympathy... that's unfortunate for more than 70% of autistic men (+20% if of European/MENA descent, which includes me) actually..

My mind explodes when a girl that I talk to literally takes a pic with a guy next to her. I feel jealous because she doesn't caption "boo" or "boyfriend." I feel completely different when it's two girls or two guys. Admittedly, my culture (Jordanian and Armenian) views "traditional gender roles" (read: toxic masculinity... which actually makes men lowkey weaker than women) as ideal. Most of my cousins especially on the Jordanian side have ditched that ideology. (Armenians tend to be ultraconservative.)

For me, the answer is "D". Yeah, most men want to lead, and most women want the man to lead. But see how I said "Most" and not "all"? Because not all men and women want traditional roles in their relationships. At the end of the day, we're all individuals.

Some happy relationships are equal, some are female-led. So I'm not advocating a total return to gender roles like the Red Pill community. But I'm also not saying that masculinity and leadership in men is toxic and that all women should want to be bosses, like SJW feminists.

For me, who leads the relationship should depend on what both parties want. So I'm kind of in the middle. Man is in charge? Okay. Woman is in charge? Okay. Neither is in charge, and both have equal power? Okay. Live and let live. That's MY personal opinion.

Based on a conversation I had with my friend. Because different people have different cultural traditions as well as different personal beliefs. But they intersect in different ways.

For example, for me personally, I believe in saving sex for marriage, but I don't believe in traditional gender roles. I believe in equality between men and women.

I think a lot of people assume that people who want to get married are traditional. But that is not always the case. I'm not traditional at all.

NOTE: For the purposes of this poll, let's say that "traditional gender roles" means the man asking the woman, the man paying for dates, the wife staying at home and not working, the wife having children, the husband being a provider, etc. Basically all of the stereotypes you can think of. But if you see yourself as traditional, you don't necessarily have to believe in every single thing that's listed here. This is just a general guide. Feel free to clarify your views in the comments.

If you check all of the boxes for "traditional" but you don't believe in marriage and you prefer cohabitation instead, just vote for "traditional.". I'm not splitting hairs between the two.
