Girls, I think this will be an interesting debate, so cast your opinion given the following scenario:

If you're in a relationship and live together, assume that he works full-time Monday to Friday and works 40+ hours a week, he leaves for work early morning, and doesn't get home till 6/7pm in the evening and is the higher earner. She on the other hand works part-time, and doesn't get home until 2, 3pm in the afternoon, and earns less than him.

Who's taking care of household chores during the week, like laundry, cleaning, and hoovering, given that you (the woman) have an extra 20 hours Monday to Friday than he does.

Weekends don't count here, since it should be fair game taking care of things together, and weekends pose a good opportunity for him to do a few things whilst she does a few less. And, time for both to do something together, like shopping.

What are your thoughts? The poll answers are in the woman's context as if she was answering. Since there's a 3-4 hour gap between them getting home, picking answer C would technically mean she gets to relax until he gets home.

I think Gen Z girls have destroyed dating. Social media destroyed their brain cells.

On social media I see what girls I know like/follow and it’s clear that girls don’t have any realistic expectations and demand absolute perfection but don’t give it.

Basic pretty face and they all demand perfection! A perfect guy that will buy them a 300k car, 80k Rolex, while being over 6ft, super handsome and only loyal to her. This is the Instagram content I see most girls my age like.

Now maybe I can provide all that, but I hate the entitlement and inauthenticity of all this. It’s fake/artificial and sadly what girls are like.

Women no longer want to find a guy and be there for him and grow with him from when he had nothing, and add tremendous value to his life. Girls look at guys like ATMs, like how much can I take out of this guy.

Is dating still worth it? I’ve had female interest and I don’t know if I should trust them or gave given them a chance, or make a move etc… I just keep away. I wanna have a family but not with someone fake and selfish.

• Respect: Emotional labor is heavily imbalanced. Studies note that women often carry the “mankeeping” burden (managing the relationship’s emotional/social side), while only 12% of men over 30 say they feel fully valued by their partner (The Week, 8 at the Table). Both sides feel disrespected—men for their sacrifices, women for their roles.
• Trust: Gen Z is drifting into “situationships”—36% say they’re unsure how to even define their relationship (American Survey Center). Add in politics, which has become a dating deal-breaker (Newsweek), and it’s no surprise trust between men and women is eroding.

• Freedom: Gender role expectations still dominate. Research across 29 countries shows when men lose jobs in “male breadwinner” cultures, the risk of separation skyrockets—not because of money, but because freedom from rigid roles doesn’t really exist (PMC study). Men feel trapped in provision/protection, while women feel pressured to “do it all.” Both blame the other for limiting their freedom.
• Relationships overall: Gen Z is disengaging—described as a “relationship recession” by researchers. Many are opting out of dating or even intimacy altogether (UCL, The Guardian). Pew found 63% of men under 30 are single, compared with 34% of women (Vox). That gap itself shows massive distrust and disconnect.

So when respect, trust, and freedom are all crumbling, what’s left? Love can’t survive under those conditions. What you get instead is obligation and servitude, one partner bending to the other’s demands just to keep the relationship going.

Her book (1971) argues that men, not women, are actually the ones oppressed through courtship, marriage, and cultural expectations. 📚 The Manipulated Man by Esther Villar (1971) (title changed to “The Tamed Man” for modern audience) remains one of the most controversial books on gender roles.

Villar argues men are not oppressors but the opposite: women use courtship, marriage, and social expectations to make men providers and protectors. Men give up freedom, risk their lives, and work for women and children in exchange for brief affection.

She compares marriage to slavery — the wedding as the day a man loses independence, entering a Sisyphean struggle enforced by culture and government. She also describes “female rivalry,” where women compete to control men, using sex and pressure to keep them loyal.

Other writers, like Chinweizu (The Anatomy of Female Power) and Warren Farrell (The Myth of Male Power), echo the claim that society is more matriarchal than acknowledged.

Condemned as misogynistic but praised as brutally honest, the book challenges us to rethink who truly holds power in relationships.
