When I’ve been asked by a guy what I expect from a guy while being in a relationship they often tell me that I’m expecting way too much, yet I feel like I’m asking for what should be a basic thing.

Not sure why you would compare it to a dog, but if that’s how you see it then that’s how you see it. Of course I care about those things but thats the point of going on the date to see if we’re compatible if not then, try again with someone different.
