A different topic made me think about this. Personally I like it, I used to think it wasn’t appropriate in every situation, but now I think it is fine, even w his hand on my waist or hip or thigh area for support, if it’s a good relationship and you aren’t doing other stuff that is inappropriate (groping). I will sit on his lap occasionally at family events or in public and I am not self conscious about it. In fact there are times I do it just so I don’t have to sit on something cold or rough like a low brick wall, he can do that and then I sit on his knee. When it is more of an affectionate situation like at home (I sit on his lap every night at home), I like him to rock me a little, he also sometimes bounces me a little but I prefer being rocked, either way not big motions kind of mild. One important thing nobody talks about is, not feeling like you will fall off, so mild movements, and his arms supporting you are things to consider. Do you like being bounced or rocked? Guys how do you feel about girls sitting on you?

My first REAL crush in my teens was a guy a little older than me. He was confident funny, not the best looking but I liked him loads. He liked me too and I had my first sexual experience with him. There was chemistry there. Due to the age differences my parents got someone to warn him to keep away from me, I only found this out a few years ago! He was only 3 years older but he was from a bit of a rough part of town.. he was a decent guy from what I knew about him. At the time he just stopped taking an interest and I was literally heart broken. I didn’t even know why.

Today I randomly sent him a song that reminded me of him and we talked briefly. we maybe speak once a year if that. But this time he told me that he had actually really liked me all those years ago and when he discovered I’d met someone else he was jealous. He said he found it hard to be around me knowing he couldn’t do anything. I just thought he’d gone off me! He’s married with 2 kids now but I’m just shocked he’s told me this now.. out of the blue. What does it mean? He seems really sincere. I do still think about him at times.

Let's say you're a fisherman, hunter, auto mechanic, etc. Instead of a son, you have a daughter. However, she's closer to you than mom, shows interest in those activities and she seems good at it. Would you teach her too?

My workplace manager (female) learned how to shoot when she was kid. Her father taught her. She was the first girl in the family to learn how to shoot. Someone else thought that was rough and weird for a little girl to learn. Her father was all for equality and had no gender preference in teaching his child useful skills, esp if the child shows interest.

A beater car is an old, inexpensive, and often high-mileage vehicle that is still running but may have cosmetic damage, mechanical quirks, or reliability issues. People usually drive beater cars because they are cheap to buy, easy to repair, and don’t require much concern about dents, scratches, or depreciation. I know people with genius I. Q.'s and they all had times in their lives where they worked harder than sweat shop slaves. This makes me believe their high I. Q. is created through rigorous physical or academic training and not a side effect of privileged birth or rich experiences by wealthy parents.

An example is that I know through internet technology about doctors who bike over 77 kilometres a day on rough roads and uphill climbs to raise money for medical facilities they want to build and I saw on YouTube a team of 10 doctors fasted for 5 days while running 20 kilometres a day as a science experiment to see what the effects of fasting were on the body and whether it could reverse insulin resistance.

My family doctor that has been with me since I was 6 years old used to climb the CN tower every year to raise money for charity and he said he and his son were planning to climb one of the tallest mountains in the world together this year. I believe the CN tower is over 180 flights of stairs tall and might be as high as 2000 flights of stairs.

I am not suggesting normal people try any of this crazy stuff at home, but what I am saying that often times people with high success worked very hard at it and are not just born with lucky genes.
