Search Results: guys intimidated by strong women

If women do complain about certain guys being intimidated by them then women shouldn't say they won't date a guy who does delivery's for a living, or works a Walmart. If women think a guy who makes less money than her is under her league then most guys won't be thinking, "well she has this diva attitude who only want to date a guy who is the president and CEO of a company" not a guy who works on a regular job.

I bet you if a delivery guy or a guy who works in a restaurant approaches an office business woman, and ask her out, she'll reject him cause she feels due to how much he makes will make her think he's not man enough for her, she only wants athletics, a rich guy, or a famous celebrity guy. That would be shallow of her.

So, I realize that it takes a multitude of various types of people to male the world go round. If it weren't for this variety, suffice it to say that life would be pretty dull. My question is mostly directed towards men however, I encourage the ladies out there to chime in wherever they feel the notion to do so.

So, I'm somewhat of a gym rat and I understand that not everyone will share my taste (s) but, I've noticed that (via gym small talk) when I share my appreciation for the true female gym rat form (read, the crossfit/powerlifter/female bodybuilder) more often than not I get an odd look from my fellow 'rat'. For me, there is just NOTHING sexier than seeing a woman who comes to the gym to workout (not chit chat, flirt, or socialize) and absolutely OWNS (lift heavy, use free weights with impeccable form, etc.) her workout. Its not just the physical/visual results but the accompanying mentality of said female 'rat'. I'm just wondering why I get such an odd reaction from other men for my preference?

My opinion on the subject is this: I think many men are often intimidated (both mentally and physically) by a strong woman. Guys, once again I realize everyone has differing opinions and tastes but, am I right or just waaay off base?

Is my attraction/appreciation truly an anomaly or are other guys just hesitant to admit to such an attraction?

Finally, I realize that not all women have the same goals with regards to their physiques. All too often women associate lofting weights with, 'getting bulky' (I'll leave this myth alone today for another post lol). There is absolutely no hate here regarding anyone's preference.
