I want to see what others thought about a common situation. It's normal to feel a little possesive about your partner, especially if you're really in love. But it's inevitable that your partner will have good looking opposite sex friends, or hot co-workers or bosses or that even random people will hit on them from time to time. After taking this poll:

I feel more confident that if a guy is with me, I don't have to worry about his best friend being a woman or a really sexy on at that, because if there was chemistry between them, they would have hooked up already - intense connections usually don't simmer for years - passion tends to explode.So if he passed her up, and chose you - TAKE CONFIDENCE in that ladies. That's the most important message.

That's why I can't get a gf really. Nowadays girls don't believe a guy can have female friends cuz he sleeps with them. I have a best friend that is very beautiful I think you know she's the closet out of all my female friends but when a girl I talk to sees her I don't get the time of day anymore because they think she's pretty what am I doing with her he must be trying to play me. Even if ita my first time with a girl and they see her it's omg that's your best friend not your gf? I don't understand and as soon as a guy sees my best friend they go bat shit like did you hit that? That best friend shit isn't real? I don't know when I'll find a girl that won't be jealous of her.

Jealous girls are a real turn off. When I starting dating one of my ex's, I went on a 3 day business trip near my home without her. Ex-GF was worried that I was using trip to hook up with some girl I dated in college and hadn't seen or spoken to in 10 years. This other relationship was more of a booty call for both of us, and there was no intention of marriage (I was 21 y/ college kid, she was 19). I mentioned this person once briefly in a random conversation and thought nothing of it- most people have dated more than one person in their lifetime before getting married.

She called every 3 hours going crazy and asking me what I was doing. I turned off phone after 3rd call and broke up with her after trip. If I broke up with her over phone, I was kind of scared she would key my car/slash my tires or some other psycho act given her obsession with my ex-GF.

Hah that is an extreme of jealousy.

Everyone is a tiny bit insecure because we are all human. In the video the gf was uncomfortable but she eventually got over it without going too crazy. Yeah she was jealous for a while but she never crossed into extreme jealousy. Unlike your ex-gf.

I don't think girls should be jealous of the hot best friend, he chose you because he wants to be with you and not her, but some guys do have feelings for the best friend or want something more than a friendship and that's causes the girlfriend to be jealous which is exceptable. As long as the girl you're with knows you have no feelings for the bf she shouldn't be jealous.
