So I'm deciding between Bali or Korea for next year spring break 2025

So for the Bali trip, it's for a sociology class that would be for two weeks (March 13-March 30, 2025). We'll be living with a host family like we're the locals. For the most part, I'm told we'll be going to temples, do prayer rituals, help out with the local community, learn more about their economics (tourism). I'm also told they have restrictive diet mainly consisting of vegetables & fruits.

The total cost of this Bali trip is $2,000 (accommodations, meal plans, & main class activities will paid for within the $2,000 price). I would need to pay for the flight ticket by next month (Dec.) but they'll reimburse me. The class also gets a grant that will help pay for the trip too ($500 for undergrad & $1,000 for graduate), the remaining balance for trip should be paid in cash two weeks prior the Bali trip.

While Korea trip, it's just for fun. I will pay out of pocket for it of course and I was thinking of going with my sister. I was thinking of flight dates around March 17-March 22, 2025 since that's my spring break next semester. I was looking up on Jeju air and I had estimated around $323 or $343 sum round trip for one week in March (around those dates listed above earlier). I had friends who've been to Korea before told me that I can just live off the convenience stores for food since they're so cheap. I was told to check out their Airbnb too since they would be cheaper to stay at. And a lot of cool places to check out there too such as the Gyeongbokgung palace, starfield library, cool & unique cafes, etc.

I've never been to either Bail or Korea. However, my heart is torn on which place to go for next year spring break 2025. Please help me decide lol. For Bali trip, I have to use all of my next paycheck plus some of my savings while for Korea trip, I can pay the roundtrip now with half of my next paycheck & just save up some money for accommodations, food, etc. next year.

Me and my friend have had similar age preferences for years and that was to stick to men our age. I’m 40, she’s 39. People have been telling us for years to date men who were several years older than us. This includes our parents, aunts and uncles, each other’s parents, family friends, church members, etc. she’s even had friends our own age tell her that she should be dating older men (or so she says). I decided to give it try last spring after my same age boyfriend who had two kids and massive debt dumped me for being “too good” for him (I supported his broke ass financially), and I can say my luck changed drastically. Current guy is 55 years old and we both agreed we’re stuck with each other. At the end of summer, I had a party and invited my friend (recently heartbroken about being dumped but a guy our age for a younger girl), my boyfriend, all of his friends and all of their wives LOVED her. Every one of them and myself all thought she was perfect for a friend of theirs who was looking for someone just like her, so we agree to try to fix them up (the friend had met her once before at a charity event we were working). BF’s friend is also 55, retired, financially secure, gets a pension every month, good Christian, still works part time, has his house paid off and is looking for a woman to spoil rotten. So we pitch the idea to his friend, and the friend’s response is “that girl is a catch! She’s a nice girl with a good heart, she’s doing something with her life and she’s ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! Yes, please fix me up with her.” I mention it to her and try to convince her to no avail, she won’t date him just because he’s 16 years older than her. I told her she needs to be dating men in their 50’s and early 60’s, not our age. She said NEVER. I told her then that she’s a stubborn asshole who’s throwing away a good guy. Opinions? I want to show this to her to make her realize this is true. Women have been marrying older men for years so it clearly works.

The next course starts in two weeks and ends in January. The second course starts in January and ends in early March. That's if I keep going. This means I'll be taking courses through the holidays Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New years.

If I take a break, I'll start after New years January-March, then March-May.

Just found out the guy I hooked up with (three times) 9 years ago is married and has actually been married for 10 years! He didn’t have social media but I came across his picture on his wife’s social media celebrating their 10th year anniversary. That means that when we hooked up he was already married for a year… I don’t have any proof or texts because I no longer have my old phone/old number. I also saw that they have 2 daughters together. On one hand I feel obligated to tell her but I also don’t want to ruin a seemingly happy family and break their daughters’ heart… Should I just leave it alone then?

(We have since gone no contact ever since the last time we hooked up, it was all very casual and I’ve forgotten about him plus I’ve been in a happy relationship ever since then. That is up until he popped up on social media and caught me off guard - my boyfriend knows about all this and told me to stay out of it).
