Search Results: why did my girlfriend leave me

2 years ago I gave an acquaintance my phone number, which is something I already hate doing. For most calls he would either end the phone call after a few minutes to "see why 'she' is calling" or talk with people off the phone.

Important Side Note: He told me about a planned group outing with our mutuals and "someone else." I found out through social media that "someone else" was a girl I've seen around but never really spoke to. I suspect that "she" is the person he would cut our phone calls short to talk to. I thought it was really weird of him to hide that she was on the trip, especially since I recognized her; I literally don't care who he dates because I was only platonically interested in him at best. This incident, however, made me feel like being his friend was not a good idea.

One day, I told him that he should delete my number if he calls me again and exhibits poor phone etiquette. Like clockwork, the next time he called, he cut the call short because he couldn't understand why "she" was calling him. I told him to never call me again and promptly stopped answering calls and texts.

As time went on, he and "she" developed a relationship that he posted about. "She" recently had his baby. I was hanging out with some mutuals and he came around. I acknowledged him but cut my time short because I didn't want to spoil the mood. Since then he has been watching my social media stories, DMing me, and calling me. I have not responded.

A part of me feels bad for my lack of communication with him, but I also don't understand WHY he's trying to talk to me. A part of me wants to ask him why he's trying so hard to engage me when he should be tending to his girlfriend and his baby, and a part of me wonders if he's just trying to work on being friends. I personally do not trust this man and would rather he would accept that I told him to leave me alone 2 years ago than pursue a friendship.

We were together and he enjoyed time together with 3 kids

But when the kids asked too much of him he’d want to leave and go away. Ended up moving into a box room at his friends house even tho he has a house he let rot.

He would always say “he needs a break from me” cos I’d “demand too much from him”. I’d ask him to look after his own kids.

He was with me the day beofre he met this new girlfriend and has moved insanely fast with her. Threatened me with lawyers but didn’t do it. Obviously so he can tell this girlfriend that

He missed his daughters first day at school and now soon to miss his sons 3rd birthday

He keeps saying he has everything he wants now and I couldn’t give him that (he means going to the pub with his friends together). I just said I’m sorry I don’t wanna leave the kdis all the time to see ur friends together. Was happy to have them over and kids could finally meet his friends (never have in 7 years).

Is he actually truthful and has everything he wants or did he just not want the kids and the effort and the responsibilities

Also I NEVER STOPPED HIM coming to those days. I send over 20 messages asking him
To come those days. And making sure since he promised before this new girlfriend he would.

Backstory: We’re acquaintances (friends of a friend.), we met at a party in the beginning of the year. He’d been trying to ask me out I had a lot of things happening all at once. Career change and moving figuring out if I’d continue to live in the area or find something back in my hometown. I stayed in the area, he helped me move my mattress. Then we’d been texting pretty much everyday and he’d FaceTime me twice just talking nothing crazy. I had car trouble, that he fixed. I couldn’t pay him he knows I cook so he asked me if that could be his payment. I said yeah. We were hanging out eating, smoked some weed and we both had stuff to get back to.

Current: I found free roller skating at a park and asked if he wanted to go. He said yes and it became a date. We ended up hooking up. We had some technical difficulties and planned for next weekend.

That next weekend, He asked if I still wanted to go to the movies with him, I said yes. Dressed a little fancy and we came back to my place to eat. We watched another movie he really wanted to see b/c he hadn’t seen it. Movie finished at 3am, I asked if he was going home he said he was really tired. I said he can sleep here if he wants he said yeah. Surprise he wasn’t that tired. We tried with the sex again. He thought he was hurting me I assured him he wasn’t. I don’t think he believed me and we just laid there talking for like a half hour and fell asleep. He also left his earring. I didn’t say anything about it though. After we were texting for four days. The responses weren’t dry or sparse everything normal. Then he suddenly stopped.

Should I text him just a simple “Hey, you good?” Or just keep being radio silent? I can at least think of five reasons: He’s not interested. He’s an introvert a social battery thing. Focused on finding a new apartment that I distracted him from twice. He actually wants a girlfriend (not sure why). Or it’s all those reasons. Should I just not say anything and leave him alone?
