My boyfriend and I have been dating for nearly two months, but I can’t help but have this stupid fear that he’ll dump me and go back to his ex.
They were together for 3 years and that intimidates me, cause they broke up early this year and we only started dating in July. 3 years is a long time, a lot of memories and a lot of experiences done together.
We went on a date a week ago and he had informed me that she had reached out to him, i asked him what she said said and she told him that ‘She’d been having dreams about me being stressed and angry and asked if i was okay.’ I asked him on what he replied with and he told me, he had told her that he’d been stressed but other than that okay and that he had a girlfriend. I asked on what her reaction was, and he said “oh she just said congratulations” and i didn’t ask anymore. I know it’s stupid. Apparently the relationship was bad and toxic, she was controlling and would always get mad at him over nothing. He told me and my mum he was unhappy for a very very long time.
He had told me he had blocked her on everything but didn’t know why he didn’t block her number, but i don’t know if he’s blocked it now. I feel stupid brining it up over a week later. I want to put my faith in him that he has. In my eyes, he’s done nothing wrong and i even thanked him for telling me.
But why can’t i get over that fear, i feel like such a bad girlfriend.
