Most people are in toxic relationships today cos of the red flags they ignored. They know their relationships aren’t ideal, but they justify and rationalize their doubts away. Many of them would rather be in a poor relationship than no relationship at all.
An emotionally healthy person views being alone as better than being in a negative relationship but the desperate ones, think otherwise. A healthy relationship can be challenging to find, but it’s not an impossibility.

Lying. This needs little explanation. Does your partner lie to you? Do you find yourself telling lies just to keep the peace? Do you lie in order to avoid spending time with your partner? For example, do you tell your partner you have to help your mother, but you actually at home doing nothing?

Are you reminded on a regular basis about how you’re not pulling your own weight? Are past mistakes mentioned regularly even when you've apologized about it?
-Are you told that you have to wash the dishes because your partner swept the floor? Are you told this even though you’re swamped with work, and he’s just watching TV?
If you’re in a toxic relationship, extract yourself from it or seek professional relationship counseling
You might be too emotional to tell yourself the truth or you might be too weak to take the bold step, a counselor will help you make the right decisions. You might miss person afterwards but just because you miss someone doesn't mean you need them again in your life.

Everybody has heard of the 'Marriage made in Heaven", but I don't believe there is any such thing. Our marriage counselor, said this is the reason many people go from marriage to marriage, thinking they will find the perfect match, and "there 'Ain't' no such thing", and they go from one 'imperfect" mate to another 'imperfect' mate.

Your thoughts.

Not everyone, I don't even think a majority, but there is some unreasonable amount of people who still think that the ideal straight relationship is a rich man and a sexy woman with an exclusive-access contract.

If that's what you want for your own relationship, okay, whatever. But why think that this is what all relationships are supposed to look like? Why think that this is the way men and women should naturally relate to each other?
If that was really the core of the man/woman relationship, then it's not much of a relationship at all. It's more of a business deal.
