This women brings up an interesting theory as to why women often initiate 80% of all divorces. The reason has to to do with women often encountering guys, who would in all honesty, make good husbands/fathers for them but don't excite them sexually. So women go back out on the dating market and keep searching for her ideal mate. When that plan blows, she circles back to the men that she would not have considered datable in her youth for LTR. A lot of time, these males are orbiters she has in her contact that she hasn't talked to for years but will message out of the blue wanting to reconnect.

She ends by stating that more women would have long fulfilling marriages if they married the men who were their first pick (aka the guy she would actually go up to and ask out on a date or the guy she would fear losing or missing her shot at getting into a relationship with).

No, studies consistently show the number one reason for divorce today is a lack of commitment and unwillingness to compromise and work at the relationship when things get difficult.

There is still a false perception that women divorce men because men cheat, and that is simply false. It is a combination of women's own lack of commitment and the financial and legal incentives for women to divorce that are the cause of most divorces today.

This is born out in statistics about divorce rates among married heterosexual couples, lesbian couples and gay couples. The lowest divorce rate is among gay couples and the highest rate, by far, is among lesbian couples. In other words, the fewer women are involved, the lower the divorce rate.

If we actually care about saving the institution of marriage, we need to stop blaming men for the high divorce rate and start focusing on the real problem... women's lack of commitment.

Most women detest the men they marry. Only 14% of married women say they are "happily married". Think about that. If a man is stupid enough to get married he has a 60+% chance she will divorce him, and even if she doesn't divorce him there is an 86% chance she isn't happy with you. Who needs this shit?
