How Politics Play Into Civilians (non-military) Minds

So a lot of people are constantly criticising me and other soldiers.

To me, I believe the critics are only centering what they think of the military based on their political beliefs. They rather be living in a bubble and BE able to speak their mind because of the freedom of speech instead of understanding what we go through.

I cannot stress this enough: we do not fight for politics, we fight for the life that we're next to, his or her own life.

Another thing, the critics can bash on the Marine Corps and the other branches, but in the end, they will never know what it is like to be in the military. The critics are very misinformed about the military, especially if you've never been around it.

We are not "robots", and we are not "sheep". We volunteered to be in the military. There is no draft, just to let you all know.

Also, it's funny to know that people who have never been in the military like to bash the military and think they know everything.

A good mytake and I never let politics influence my view on the military because politics are always centered around a goal or something that will help their goals.

I let the actual military, soldiers and all it's branches influence my view on the military. From my cousin, to my grandfathers, father, their friends and my friends etc who are part of the military, they influence my view on it.

As for the people who are bashing you and your posts on the military ignore them, let them stew, you have a right to post whatever you'd like and me and the other gagers who like your posts are with you.

You do know that America (among all the rest of the powerful nations) "creates" wars that you defend? You my good soldier are defending a weapons manufacturers shareholdings, thereby defending your nations investments (nationally and internationally) and you just happen to be in a position to protect your country while doing the aforementioned. In short, you are dying for some rich dudes that keep your country going. You won't fight for that obviously, so soldiers get sold other reasons to fight. Its a catch 22. Soldiers are needed to protect their country but in todays world, without war, people don't make money... so yeah...

See the issue is your over there fighting terrorists who have weapons the CIA accidentally gave them because we were so dead set on beating the soviets. Your fighting terrorists funded by Saudi Arabian princes who we do oil trade with and give loads of money to every year. It's a circle do you really think anyone can respect a war being fought against enemies our leaders made/ strengthened? So yeah what you do is dangerous but its not really protecting us as far as anyone can see and it certaintly has not protected any of our ever shrinking civil or economic rights.

About the critics, yeah. I know people, who do that even if it's untrue HAHA! Just pure hate is what they express. Haters are going to hate and I keep doing my businesses.
