Things people usually misunderstand about Thailand

I'm a hundred percent Thai, and I have been living in Thailand my entire life. Everything I wrote below is based on my own experience as a Local person. I also have to apologise in advance that my poor English might confuse you.

1) Are all Thai girls prostitutes?

No..... Travelers tend to go to tourist attraction areas like Khaosan road or Pattaya where prostitutes are working at, therefore, they will always meet those hookers regardless of what they are trying to do around the areas. On the other hand, you'll rarely ( never ) find one when you get yourself out of those kinda places. Honestly, we have tons of enjoyable places for you to experience than those clubs and bars.

2) Do we ride elephants to school?

Nooooooo, we have so many brands
/ kinds of cars and motorcycles as you do. Don't take whatever you see about us from movies too seriously. It all was made to entertain you.

Example of the movies : The hangover II, Ong Bak etc.

3) We always eat insects

Yummm! Nah, only some people like eating them. I personally don't like eating insects (even though I've tried them before, I still like other kinds of food more.) However, I swear they taste good lol. I've seen many westerners said something like "no, I'll never eat that" but once the insects got in their mouth, they always wanted more.

1a : No, not all of us, BUT many do. Honestly, those girls they have met could even be bar girls or prostitutes. Open your eyes, don't judge people by what you have heard. When I go out in Bangkok, I usually see many western men dating Thai girls. I can easily tell if the girls they are dating are nice girls or not. Go for what's good, not what's easy. My friends and I are studying at a university and what we study will become our bread and butter in the fututr, so we ourselves are not looking to take advantages of any western men at all. We are not probably considered educated girls yet, but we will be soon. What I can say is "choose things with your eyes open and take a close look" However, they are right at some points, some girls who are really poor do want to find rich western men. I admit it for this point :)
1b : no, and it's so freaking easy to distinguish ladyboys from the real girls lol
4) I'm sorry, I don't know
