Feminism is not about equality. Egalitarianism is.
Even the dictionary definition is not really about equality, not if you define the term etymologically.

Dismissive? You stated the argument clearly in the take, and I agree with it. This is yet another case of feminism gone wrong. The broad overarching statements she uses only succeed is spewing propaganda. And men ARE in fact oppressed by their gender, but it's not something we talk about enough.
Sorry, but I've still yet to hear a solid argument from you about anything. So, all of the leading, very famous and rich feminists that she quotes are feminism gone wrong? Where is an example of feminism gone right?
Give me an example of a broad, overarching statement that she's used and we can discuss it. Simply saying that she's making broad, overarching statements without elaborating is, in all honesty, a broad, overarching statement on your part. Please be more specific.
Also, if you believe in the patriarchy, I'd like to ask you, who is the patriarchy? Is it the government? Do you support taking down the government, in that case?

You're being the worst kind of hypocrite right now. You said "The broad overarching statements she uses only succeed is spewing propaganda." and yet, I don't see you providing any evidence or saying anything except broad-overarching statements yourself.
And it's my fault that you won't defend your point? Again, "You can't even accept it when I agree with you", and yet you can't accept that she disagrees with your views and elaborate, like she elaborated. You're actually saying LESS than she did. Hypocrisy at it's best, honestly. I'm giving you every chance to defend your point here. If you don't want to, then it's obviously not as important to you as you claim it is.
Just so people know for posterity, I didn't block her, and I still haven't blocked anybody on this site. She just can't argue with the fact that she's being a hypocrite.

No, we can't. Feminists are hurting society and actively making life unjust for men. Until they are relegated to the same social status as klanners, this will never end.
@Transigence KKK attacks and murders people. Feminists don't. Anti feminists do go on mass shooting sprees in the name of anti feminism though. (Elliot Rodger and there was one shooting in 1989 or so where an anti feminist shot feminists at his school.)

In my mind it's still feminism. I'm not sure what others make it nowadays. But today, for me, it still IS normal plea for equality. Maybe we should call it egalitarianism now. Not sure... But then we would deny the fact women have been oppressed for so long and still are in certain aspects and societies.
Lots of people are still oppressed in certain societies, but none of us live there. Human trafficking and child slavery are still very much things. You have to focus on cleaning up your own backyard before you look over the fence and start complaining.
But women, as a SEX, were not generally oppressed! That's the whole point! Feminism is academically fraudulent.
Everyone wants there to be equal opportunity between men and women, but fewer than 1 in 5 will identify as a feminist.
It's because we reject the revised feminist "herstory." We don't call it "oppression of women" when women couldn't vote because... neither could men! (There was a BRIEF window when men could vote and women could not (and it was because men had to serve in the military, women did not), but it was closed quickly and inappropriately (women now have the right to vote with no corresponding obligation, but men still have the corresponding obligation to serve)).
Just because some good things came out of feminism doesn't mean that it is at its nature a good movement. It NEVER was. Read the declaration of sentiments then compare the claims in it to reality (of the 1850s).
It's not feminists' stated mission that we object to. It's the entire fraudulent belief system that goes with it that we reject.

All these dabates about race equality or gender equality or whatever are largely irrelavent and distract from the real issue our society faces: the wealthy, capitalist and political elites. Income inequality is a real problem for the whole world.

General mainstream ideology that holds true to original roots still aims for equivalency for all persons in matters of State and Society. It really hasn't changed all that much. Many outlying ideologies exist which taint the central political ideology with nonsensical or impossible goals including the expression of overzealous third wave ideals.
Really, you don't think it's changed? I haven't had a decent debate from a single feminist in this entire take. Have you read some of these comments?
This isn't a website specializing in debate or discussion; not finding a "decent debate" about political ideologies and sociopolitical civil rights history is to be expected. Most people don't even know the modern "mother" of the current feminist wave and only know if a few of current feminist issues or why the wave was necessary in the first place.
But as everything evolves the roots of the movements still can relate to their core values spoken of over 200 years ago.
You try using bigger words than you can. You don't know how to use commas. Any public forum is a place for open debate.
Do you want debates or "good" debates? Because no one said you couldn't debate here but that it is not built for it. As for "big words" only one of us considers them "big".
