Social Media? An Isolated Bubble.

In today’s modern day and age social media is a part of our everyday lives. We have become so consumed in this inner world of no social interaction that when we wake up and the first thing we do is check our phones for the updates about the unbelievable amount of events we have missed by wasting our time sleeping. And this continues during the day, from checking in at the place you are having lunch at to posting selfies on Instagram and updating the status about every minute of your life’s on Facebook. At the end of the day before we go bed, we have to say ‘good night’ to our somewhat thousand followers on twitter. We have become so addicted to this non-existent world that we have forgotten about the real world out the four sided screen of our devices. We have started to believe that relationships are maintained through sending messages and care is shown by liking pictures and leaving cute comments.

This is a major issue in our society, the bonding between parents and children has disappeared. In this age nobody seems to have time for each other. Parents try their best to convince these teenagers of how dark and overly isolated social media is but these children choose to believe something else. These children live their lives the way social media tells them to, they believe what they are shown and follow accordingly.

The bond that children should share with their parents is very important. It’s a road where the parent and the child have to meet in the middle. Chilfren todays society reflects our world which is trapped in the isolated bubble of these social platforms.
