I really can't stand people who try to make a big deal over stuff like that.
Same (kinda) I still don't understand how having tattoos in an Asian language is offensive but not with English or French
My wife was called a yellow cab more than a few times. I was told I had yellow fever on one occasion.
Well, the Asian women love white guys, speaking of pathological obsession. Especially the Japanese, and this is in general, so no need to pop in to say "I don't"..
You are right, there are Asian women like that as the guy mentioned about gaijin hunters in Japan which are not thr majority. So you are wrong about it being 'in general', one reason is that a lot of Asian parents are agaisnt their children dating outside their culture another reason is the language barrier. There's also a huge difference with how some Asian American women feel about this. If you read about yellow fever you will learn that there are plenty who are agaisnt white guys only speaking to them for their race. Since they grew up in a racist country they are more aware, and are usually the ones who have problems with white people wearing kimonos or any other Asian related wear, so im not the one making cultural appropiation up.

I would say there are about as many Asian women into white guys as there are white guys into Asian women. I would say it is an overall trend. I'm talking about attraction, not social pressures. In my experience, Japanese girls will follow the collective in the open, then talk trash about it with a foreigner. Honest talk is where you find a true opinion.
Kimonos and other clothes are all religious? What about Japanese wearing cowboy hats and sequined opera dresses? Not the same thing?
I said Asian American women. Giving a definition or mentioning something does not mean that its your personal opinon.
If they're lying, it doesn't, but if we assume it's authentic, to assume it's not personal opinion is based on faith. And everything I say about Asian women applies the same to Asian Americans. It's pretty much a cliche, and there are infamous viral videos of Asian American women saying they only date white guys. One stand up comic was even known for it.
The term Weeaboo is used in reference to any Asian culture these days
Anyways, Cultural Appropriation is simply thrown around like the rest of the SJW arsenal words
Cool, I like Asian culture but I never knew about those Asiaphiles
I love manga and anime, and I love Japanese food, but I'm not fixated on it. It's just something I happen to like, among my other interests.
How about letting people do what they want with their lives?
How about people stop trying to make a big deal out of stupid things, just for once?
From my understanding of ''Cultural Approriation'', it's really bullshit.
I do like japanese history and culture. I plan on learning japanese, but not from anime cause it contains day to day language and slang.
I really love Asian culture but I still prefer my own culture and country
This was invented by the Internet on a really slow day.
So if an asain person wears jeans is that culural appropriation?
I dont necessarily believe in the definition, I feel that its only cultural appropiation when you are using religious material or are being disrespectful. It is not cultural appropiation for an Asian to wear jeans but it would be cultural appropiation if they were to wear an indian headress because thats sacred.
I just think people should be able to wear whatever they want.
That's your opinon, im not saying that its wrong but a lot of people find it disrespectful. That's like some atheist wearing the pope's outfit, it would be disrespectful to some catholics. An Indian headress is religious, pants and kimonos are not.
Religions dont get some sort of presidential over other beliefs. People can offend them as much or as little as they want, but its a choice. The idea that you can't wear something because its offensive to some people is backwards and plain wrong. Its the kind of authoritarian policy id expect to see in North Korea. some fat people wear leggings and it offends my eyes. Can I stop them? No. If they want to wear them then fine.
Sorry. Instead of presidential i mant precedence.
I respect your opinon. You can't choose what people wear but you can't control the people who find it offensive either.
We dont need to control what people find offensive. People have to make their own choices on what they say, and wear. Most people decide to be respectful. However when someone decides to wear an indian headpiece they are perfectly within their rights to do so and who is anyone to stop them? No one has the right not to be offended. Dressing in such ways does not incite hatred or violence. Quite frankly, if anyone is offended by it, I do not care.
Yes, love meeeeeeeeee
