Debunking the “wimpy Asian” stereotype

ADFSDF1996

For many years, Asians, especially Asian men have been stereotyped as being wimpy individuals based on how Asians tend to be shorter and slimmer on average than other races. But this assumption of weakness is unwarranted because shortness and slim builds are not synonymous with weakness. Not to mention that not all Asians are short and or slim.

1.) Why many Asians tend to be slim: The diet of an average Asian consists of foods that don’t have sufficient calories or protein. They are primarily certain types vegetables, grains and sea food. In fact artificial rice was developed to make up for the scarcity of mass building nutrients in traditional white rice. But food is only half the reason why Asians tend to be slimmer on Average than other races. The other reason is that traditional Asian fitness doesn’t put much emphasis on body mass and instead focuses on other traits like flexibility, agility, endurance and dexterity. The concepts of weight lifting, body building, powerlifting and strong man training are all new concepts to Asians that are barely catching on in Asian cultures. Further proof of this is how Asian Americans on average tend to be bulkier than Asians in Asia.

2.) Asian males and facial hair: Asian men are often laughed at because many have trouble growing thick facial hair. This is often and incorrectly attributed to low testosterone in Asian men. But that’s far from the truth. In reality, Asian men have just as much testosterone as men from other races considering that Asian men can still have deep voices, muscular builds, broad shoulders and dense bones. But the difference is that many Asian men don’t have androgen receptors on their faces which explains why Asian men have trouble growing thick facial hair.

3.)Youthful appearance: Asians have youthful appearances because of their diet, fitness and because they have thicker skin. This allows them to age gracefully. Their youthfulness has zero correlation with prowess, which many people try link together for some reason.

4.) Tiny but mighty: Shortness is unfortunately laughed upon because it’s erroneously associated with weakness and incompetence. But in reality, shortness isn’t really a negative physical trait because isn’t synonymous with weakness or incompetence. It has it’s pro and it’s cons just like tall stature does. Short people have major advantages which includes better dexterity, better reflexes, lower center of gravity, shorter range of motion and are less prone to injury. The following Asian combat sports athletes of short stature proved to be tough and versatile by defeating larger opponents than themselves. Note, Any guy under 6’0” and any woman under 5’5” is considered short by current standards.
