I agree I wish the people making the choice thought as hard as you did writing this. I think some women need the option in cases of rape and invest and the mother's safety. The future of the baby's life would not have a good quality of life.
My position is simple; if you abort a child, both you and the doctor should be sentenced to a length prison stay. If you abort a child in its second trimester, you receive a 25-year sentence in a rehabilitation center. If you abort a child in its third trimester, both you and the doctor should be hanged.
And what about if pregnancy is the result of rape?
What about case when fetus is positively tested for mental illness?
What about the case when pregnancy or delivery the baby can be life risking for woman?
@goldfinch23 what about it? Why should the child be killed for the circumstances of his conception? He had no control over the fact that he was a product of rape. Thus, he shouldn't be punished for that fact.
Really? Killing mentally-ill children? Seriously, that's straight out of a concentration camp. My Lord, how could you possibly even ask that question?
The last one is probably the only exception I can think of, as one death is better than two.
If baby is the result of rape, do you think that his mother will be able to love him? I don't think so. Let's say your wife or girlfriend will be raped. How will you react? Will you be able to love that baby?
About mental illness. Not all parents are able to take care of mental ill baby. So they will put him somewhere and state will take care of him. Question is, if the baby will be able realise himself. Most likely not. Plus for state it's big onus. And quite expensive onus. In some cases it's even necessary, because of medical conditions.
You can struggle all you like as long as you know what's the law of the land.

Yeah, if you are not white there is little chance your baby will find a permanent home for adoption. So it's pretty difficult to condemn individuals with no other option.
I agree I'm pro life as well. I think abortion is selfish and an irresponsible way to get out of your responsibilities. When you get pregnant your body is no longer your own.
I agree. This is something I've put a lot of thought into, as my parents are passionate conservative Catholics, I lean towards being liberal and am an atheist. Yet I somehow always end up on the fence about it :/
