What I Think About Trump Being President

I know many people are unhappy with how the election went and I am too, but I honestly think that unless we had somehow gotten a Libertarian president like Johnson, Trump was the best we could do.

Now, I'm not saying Clinton would've been really bad, but I personally think that it's good to have a Republican there. I'm also not going to say, "Clinton is a criminal!" because I'm a little tired of everybody saying that. Yes, she did do a bunch of bad things, so I guess technically she is, but that's not the point of this. The point is, I don't necessarily like Trump's personality and I'm not even sure how he got voted in by the Republicans in the first place, but we have to remember that he can't do anything without the approval of more sensible people.

So, obviously this wasn't the best election for us, but we can't do anything about it now. The worst thing we could possibly do is be violent and attack each other, because that's what he kind of 'wants' us to do. We need to stand together and we'll get through this. I know a lot of people don't have the same views as me and that's fine, but please express it in a kind and sensible way.

-What is wrong with repealing Obamacare? Health insurance is not the government's business and I do not deserve to be fined for my own private decision.

-Unlikely to happen, but even if it did, what is wrong with it? A nation without borders is like a house without walls. We need to keep illegals out.

-Again, what is wrong with that? Illegal aliens are not our responsibility and helping them when so many of our own citizens are poor and struggling is insanity.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt however. The one objection I see with this is that it could essentially transform us into a police state. I see no way the government could realistically deport all illegal immigrants unless martial law was declared, which is a much more frightening possibility.

Advance voting simply isn't accepted in most countries. Most countries have a stop on polling and political messages of this kind during 12 hours: they start voting at 8 am and stop it at 8 or 11pm. 12-16 hours, not several weeks.
