It's the same god damn song and I'm tired of singing it. I taught my much younger sister about the Rodney King Riots because I thought it was something we would never see again.

There was no excuse for King's beating. This is the man who said can't we all just get along. Rodney King is a civil rights influencer and should be remembered as such. His life was never the same.

Bow i I have to hear weekly of the ongoing trials of police shootings of people with no weapon. In my own town a naked man was shot a killed. He was naked and ran at police so they used deadly force even though it was clear didn't have a weapon. For some reason the governor surpressed this case in the media.

Rodney King, Watts Riots, in addition to the March On Washington, and the Selma boycotts we are going back to because of the gentlemen that have been selected (NOT ELECTED) in office. As noted of the All Caucasian white men who are there to fix the health system, as well as they want to make the Supreme Court. They want to make AMERICA *WHITE* AGAIN. not GREAT.

So right now, for the next 8 years, or maybe more, our country is going down a majorly slippery slope, with no brakes. Somehow we need to stop a train wreck.

To Op and boxers, they don't swim in waters this deep. They don't know what the Watts Riots are and King is just an N word who had it coming. There's no debate for them here. My title says it all, at least to them, "we [they] are winning!"

They're as delusional as Charlie Sheen coming off a bender. Meanwhile they are being set up to lose jobs and pay more in taxes to support the big guys.

I would love to hear from a reasonable trump voter but I know a few of them and they are very smart people but they can't point to a single reason they voted for Trump other than he is rich and an outsider. No logic in what kind of president he'll be. My guess is he delivers in zero promises true to his nature. Hell half ass the border. And he'll repeal the ACA but not in a way that leaves people the same or better off. I'm upper middle class and will be fucked by some of its provisions because I'm just not rich enough.

It will get better if we use our voices. I know that sounds like a 1960's hippy but the courts really do strive to remain close to public opinion.

The airport protesters had a significant effect in leveraging justices to strik down the Muslim ban.

Port Authority tried to shut down all trains going to JFK that day and the governor had to reopen them.

Protesters chanting 'let them in'! If you stand for nothing you'll fall for anything.

There's no better time to stand than now. I have a busy life and putting my body in one place to object for several hours isn't exactly what I wanted my weekend to look like.

But I couldn't live with myself if I let a refugee who fought for our country in Iraq be sent back to that country to be killed. Voices do matter.

I feel it's my duty to make sure these Iraqi heros get the welcome hey deserve.

@jacquesvol no they don't. They worked along side as interpreters. They are literally being forced out of Iraq for doing so. They aren't safe there. You have platoon leaders vouching for them and they've been promised safe harbor.

I know and have worked with many refugees. Most recently doctors from Syria just trying to get into residencies or what have you so they can be licensed to work here. They're great doctors and many get accepted into US resident medical programs straight out of their MD but the ones that do not because they wanted to stay in Syria to work have to again take another residency.

As for the Iraqis that work along with American soldiers everyday they are well taken care of. It's a culture shock then they get used to the mission and even become a source of intel.

There's no hate the troops they are Station with are peace keeping and government building. A lawyer friend of mine was there to help set up new local government in Afghanistan. His interpre
