When people think about black history, they often think of Rosa Parks , MLK, Fredrick Douglas, etc.
This is just a simple take, so let's begin with 2 little known stories. The blackwallstreets of Tulsa olkahoma and Durham North Carolina. The Blackwallstreet of Tulsa was a very vibrant thriving Black community in the early 20th century . This community was all black and successful . Since the government made Jim Crow a law, Blacks had not choice but to build their own community. The community they built had oil on it and since the demand for oil was high, The people of blackwallstreet was making a lot of money, It had its own airplanes and doctors offices lawfirms railroads etc . While some of the blacks still had to go work in the white sides of town, most were owning and running successful businesses. The whites saw what was going on and were jealous.
The blackwallstreet was successful and doing good, but things would change when one day a black shoe shine boy was onthe white side of town working. Because of Jim Crow, Bathrooms were segregated When he went to use the bathroom, upstairs . He got on the elevator that was being operated by a white female. All do no one knows what happened on the elevator, its been said that the operator ran out screaming. The black kid was arrested. A angry mob came down to the court and so did the men of blackwallstreet . The men of blackwallstreet came armed with guns to protect the kid. A argument started and then someone (and I say that because no one knew who really fired the shot) ], fires a shot into the air. From that point, The blackwallstreet massacre/holocaust begin. The mob of whites burned destroyed, and looted homes and businesses. After the riot, Blackwallstreet laid in ruins. The prosecutor in the case involving the black kid and the white female dropped the charges after the female wouldn't come to court. Its a shame because blacks are always told that they do nothing but destroy their own community , but when they build one and especially one that's successful, the racists come and destroy it Think about that next time you quick to judge and criticize . What also makes the black community poor and struggling toady is because the black dollar only stays in the coummnity for about 6 hours but back in the early 20th century it stayed for a whole year. Here's some videos on this. The first video is long the other 2 are short .

At some point they need to get over it and not let the last STILL dictate their futures after many generations. At some point, it just becomes a meaningless, tiresome excuse.
Why if wealth and economic prosperity is generational? A lot of wealth and economic prosperity in the world TODAY and also in the future will not be 1st GENERATIONAL. Just think if that never happened and that community, along with others were able to thrive? Anyone's past has a very important role in their future.
