Absolute rubbish. Assumes the conclusion, and cherry picks the data to support it. Condescension masquerading as education, from someone in no position to be neither. But nice try.

"White privilege and male privilege are an actual thing."
They are social constructs. An "actual thing" is something that exists only if you want it to.

I'm very tired of that constant whining. Boohoo white people are mean, they are evil, they don't want to give us free stuff when we cry about being victims. And I don't even start white male, who has basically only the right to whip himself and let other people spit on him.
The "white privilege" bullshit is another way to officialize a racism that isn't called like that. Good thing that this crap is going well only in the US. Keep it for you, we're fine without it.

It's as if people think thousands of years worth of happenings can be changed in like 100 years, do you people really think everything that what happened yesterday has no impact on today? Of course it exists, not saying it's an excuse but it exists.

    Thoughtful piece!

In some places there is definite privilege, but can we all agree the the worst privilege is that of the 1% that fucks everybody regardless of colour?

I think it is more of "Rich Privilege" than white privilege. I agree with all the points you've made but all of those things (low crime rate, higher education) come with money. At the same time other minorities you've mentioned are poor in general

I'm only white because I'm not black. No but seriously I have everything I want and enjoy everything I do. Not because of the color of my skin it's because I've earned it or deserve it. cool is cool and hard work is just that. But while I'm here can I get a Mexican discount?

Everything you've mentioned is wealth privilege it has nothing to with race. You haven't proven the existence of white privilege.

So blockbusting has nothing to do with race?

those who moved to low income neighborhoods were not obliged to live there. They did so because of their money available. I won't deny that the people who left because they feared minorities are racist but again, the fact of the matter is any advantage gained from blockbusting that still exists now had more so to do wealth.

Most of these properties weren't red lined until these minority families moved in. A little less than coincidental for most.

A study was done that showed people with black/ethnic sounding names have their applications ignored in favor of the exact same application with a white sounding name. When you cannot even get a job due to your culture being looked down on, there is an issue.

@wolfcat87 people need to stop blaming others for their failures and take responsibility. Those who blame others fail more often.

Again, it's no one's personal failure if they get turned down for their name or color instead of for their qualifications. there have been many studies showing that blacks are treated differently far more often than they should be.

Than in that case, I don't think wearing sombreros or using the term "Black" should be offensive.

It's funny how minorities can be offended by certain things, but white people can't.
Who's fault is it that White people have it better?

I'll stop getting offended by "White Privilege", if minorities stop getting offended by cultural appropriation, and Blacks stop getting offended by the term "Black"

People say black and wear sombreros all the time. Neither of those things is racist... What you do around those things determines whether they are racist or not...

@wolfcat87 EXACTLY. But that's my point. It's not racist, but I've met people who were offended by those things.

Yes, Asian people do earn more than white people on average, but doesn’t mean they’re more privileged.

White privilege gives white people the advantage within in the criminal jusitice system, in the employment system, in the educational system and socially. So is coloured folks need to work harder then them. This is why I do not have sympathy for those people when they are not doing well financially

I'm not white in Slavic. Whiteness was invented by white Anglo Saxons, the KKK and democrats to exclude anyone who wasn't wasp, Germanic or Nordic so basically if your Slavic, Irish, Italian, spainish, green, serbian or just eastern European your not white.

All of the white people I know who are successful got that way through natural talent or hard work and perseverance. Once the people who use that phrase treat school as a opportunity and work as hard as I have, that's when I won't be offended.

Maybe it doesn't exist for some minds or they define it differently, anyhow it is something that is perceivable, even more with this proof, for the ones who cared to read and understand.
