You realize sex-positivity is about sexuality in general, right? It's not just about sex. If you're right that Switzerland and the Netherlands and France look down on twerking and grinding, they're obviously less sex-positive than Brazil.

They look down on twerking because it's seen as low class people do but they won't slut shame over there like you do in the US they'll just see you as low class or ghetto as MAJORITY of countries would. Do the wealthy people in Brazil feel they same as you do?
I'm originally from Argentina and I'm not high or low class but my family and friends from over there view it as low classy or trashy. I don't think you know what sex positive is lol

Things that happen during spring break in the US like having sex in an elevator, BJs on the beach, cheating. All this happens in the hands of low class people

How would being sex-positive make the family structure weak? I'd argue that more sex-positivity is why family structures are stronger in Brazil than in America. I think it's ridiculous that in America, it's considered shameful for a girl's brother and dad to see her twerk.

      Reply
    • Logorithim

Family structure would already have to be weak because there is a connection between slut shaming and the idea of nuclear families having their own kids. If people don't care about that, they'd be more likely to be sex-positive.
Are you sure that family structures in Brazil are stronger? The US is certainly no role model in that regard, true.

What exactly do you mean by family structures being strong? Like I said, I feel comfortable twerking in front of my brother and dad but I probably wouldn't if I were raised in America. Don't you think that's an example of having a strong family structure? I think uptight families result in weak family structures.

A boner would be an automatic response from something sexy. But then there's an annoying urge to have sex. I wouldn't appreciate it I'd find it very irritating. For example, when they put porn in movies it's really annoying. I want it to be movie time not have sex time. Basically everything being sexual just makes everything worse as opposed to better unless your immediate goal is to jack off or have sex and you're available to do that.

I have no idea if I'm different since my friends and I all vary greatly among ourselves when it comes to this stuff.

That reminds me of one of those things where a bunch of men and women were asked if they wanted to have sex. Most of the women said no to the guy. Most of the men said yes to the woman and the ones who said no were very thankful for the offered sex.

Similarly, I've had some one ask me out and I told them no but I ended up indirectly calling her attractive, which she was. Then, there was this random woman who was one of the ugliest people I've ever seen before and she offered a BJ and I said "No, thank you."

My point is if these guys did feel the way that I do they could've accepted it so that you don't think that you're undesirable. Or yeah I guess it could be they are more into sexual stuff and that you're hot.

Even if you offered and I assumed that would work there's still a few factors. Am I turned on enough for it to cloud my judgement? Is this in public? Do I have feelings for you? All of that would matter. If I wasn't turned on, we're in public, and I don't like you then you can bet I'd still say no.

"Monogamy is a form of relationship in which an individual has only one partner during their lifetime" or "having a sexual relationship with only one partner at a time"

In my case it's a combination of those two definitions, I only want to have a sexual relationship with one partner. Of course many people are the same way but end up with multiple in the long run from break ups/divorce/death etc.

Risk of her getting pregnant. Risk of STDs. Risk of emotional attachment. I find a one night stand awkward as hell. Then since I'm monogamous if I were going to have sex I'd ideally want to give my virginity to the woman I'd attempt to spend the rest of my life with and not some random thot.

Depends. There's two types of people, at least I can group all of my friends into one of these two groups. Monogamous and promiscuous. As long as monogamous people are with monogamous people and promiscuous are with promiscuous people and do not intermingle I don't care. You are obviously promiscuous and so as long as they were all the same I don't see why not.

They don't, but why should we have to suffer people doing things like that in public? It's indecent. At home or some other agreed upon private location are the only acceptable places to do such things. Love and fornicate however you like, I don't care, but leave the sexual activities for appropriate locations.

If that society iss sex positive and they all participate and enjoy it, then that is their culture. Maybe a country could be too sex positive for some people or visitors though. But to me, no. Many European countries are more sexual socially. I mean even Italian and Spanish soap operas have nudity, sometimes sex scenes. Amsterdam has the red light district. Prague is also a very sexy place. They embrace sexuality, and don't try to hide it like they do in Canada and US. Britain is more conservative, other coutries not so much.

@Greatcat What does being sex-positive have to do with being poor? I'd rather fuck all day and be poor than be rich and sexless lol.

@Greatcat I didn't say homeless. Would you really rather be rich and sexless than fuck all day and be poor? Think carefully about that. What's the point of being rich if you're gonna live a boring life?

the whole point ms pinapple is that once you have the actual essentials taken care of, then you indulge in pleasure. This concept is called 'the differal of gratification' and is the foundation of western civilization as we know it. I'm not saying don't have sex and don't lead an exciting life, I'm saying PRI OR IT IZE!!! It's more important to accumulate wealth and have a roof over your head than it is to sit around and fuck all day. If you put pleasure above practicality you are going to end up poor with 5 fatherless kids. So if given the choice between being rich and having sex, you pick being rich, then you can get to the sex. Would you rather have one wish or own your own personal djini?

not directly but yeah it's a part of it, south americans and blacks and people that come from a part of the world where less preparation is required to survive (the northern climate is wayy more difficult to survive in) don't have the differal of gratification as much as some other cultures and therefore don't think ahead as much, leading them to pursue immediately rewarding activities like sex instead of planning for the future.

I have something against the constant use of this word. there is like no need to mention something like that in brazil. where I've been nobody said anything about racism, being opressed, not being part of the bigger picture.
stop spreading those nonsense words in any way over brazil those words don't deserve to be tought about.
if you really wanna talk about such things mention them about Europe, here it's an issue since we have barbarian cultures clashing into modern culture.
