I've heard a story, about a coupke of girls accused a boy of simething, he went to prison, and later the girls saud they made it up becuase they didn't like the way he looked, how is that fair? Guys get scared for life, gave that on permanent record as sex offender, and the women walk free of all consequences.
There are women who are killed for simply declining a man asking her out. What's your point? Both are horrible situations but that has nothing to do with Feminism and is certainly not supportive of it. Of course, there will be Feminists who do and I disagree with them.
The article shown is bullshit.. really.. How women, wanting to be given a equal footing in society is harmful to young men is beyond me. this is all just a lot of grown up little boys crying to their mommies. really..

That's an interesting thought but I don't think it's quite right. This is more of a case of one person's actions hurting another even if they don't directly interact with that person. It's a collateral effect and indirect effect.
Sort of like when, if you are flirting with people while single, and before you start anything they find out about each other or see you talking to someone else when they were going to come up to you. Then they feel bad about being lead on and see you leading on other people etc.
Feminism is like that. Female empowerment is inherently good, but ultimately it will harm some men too, who will be unchosen. In particular, sexual liberation as it is called has sort of been a wide spread ostracization process for a lot of guys who basically get benched.
Either that or my experimece is totally off base and I have bigtime jelousy issues to work through -- which is actually possible.

The Duluth Model is a program which operates under the premise that violence is patriarchal and that men commit violence to 'maintain their status in the patriarchy' whereas women only commit violence in self defense. This sloppy program pretty much kicks abused men to the curb (as well as gay couples).
To be honest, I'm surprised a black woman such as yourself is even defending feminists (considering the racist past of feminists).
@DWD1994 I support feminism because I am a woman. I don’t think all feminists are on the same page, and I don’t agree with everything that some other feminists believe. But at the end of the day I believe in social, political, and economic equality of the sexes, and that makes me a feminist and I am not ashamed to call myself one. Now about the Duluth thing, I’m not sure that it’s a completely bad thing. All I did was skim some websites about it, but I’m pretty sure the whole jist of it is to stop physical abuse of women. Unfortunately tons of women are beaten and killed by men everyday. Abuse is about power. There are bad men in this world who abuse women to feel powerful and that’s not okay. Maybe they’re not necessarily doing it to maintain the patriarchy, but it is about power and control. There are also women abusers too. Unfortunately there are just some wicked people on this earth and they aren’t exclusive to just one gender. I’d have to do more reading on the Duluth Model before I judge it or make assumptions. But personally, my goal as a feminist is equality. Which means protecting the victims and punishing the abusers no matter what gender they are, and I’m sure a lot of other feminists feel that way too.
I'm all for regular every one is equal feminism but yeah people go overboard these days.
I think it has a lot to do with the media that hypes up the over-the-top examples for ratings. So much of what we see I feel is the extreme shit where MOST of us are just normal about it.
But we normal folks get angry at the extremists and then we all start lashing out and everyone's mad, and the media laughs all the way to the bank.

That's true but try convincing others on that when you see fucked up shit being posted all the time on here.
