I'm continually in horrified awe of the depths to which the Republican side of America seems determined to sink into.

So much so that I no longer think there is a rock bottom for them. They'll just keep going until they dig right through the other side of the world and into the vast and empty expanse of the universe.

I've been avoiding news on the kidnapping, but I think I should read it soon.

Honestly, I'm just hoping Canada keeps our borders closed for a good long while. Until the US manages to get itself back under control.

It feels like it's been one hell of a roller coaster between Bush Jr., Obama, and now. I feel slightly bad about it - in that Canadian apology way - but I honestly hold little hope for the US going forward. It feels... Unwise to hope for it.

I just hope the American people survive well enough and the current and next generations learn from the mistakes happening right now. And have technology strong enough to make whatever action they want to take more accessible to them.
