I’ve read all three, Mastery, The 48 Laws of Power, and The Art of Seduction.


All of them are very good and insightful reads.


Mastery helped me process and think about the direction I want to go in life, what do I want to work towards, where do I want to go in life, and how do I want to do it?


The 48 Laws of Power helped me get a better idea about the games people play psychologically in the struggle to gain power over others. Understanding these concepts has helped me understand how to protect myself from the manipulation of others. And, it gave me the ability to see the strings people try to pull in the workplace. I wouldn’t follow all of the rules (because some of these concepts involve things like backstabbing friends to gain power at all costs) but it’s still good to understand how these concepts work, like understanding the science of power and how people apply it in different ways. Even if you aren’t using a tactic, you can know if someone is using a tactic against you. You can see the strings now.


The Art of Seduction. That was an interesting read. It really helped me understand how seduction works and how it happens. It also makes sense of all the tactics that charismatic womanizers and “players” use. Again, like with 48 Laws of Power, I don’t apply everything in my life, because of the ethical nature of some of these tactics, but it’s still good to understand the science (or art if you will) behind it all. I’d highly recommend this read for anyone who has been “played” before and doesn’t want to be played again. It takes you behind the scenes to really understand how seduction works and common tactics people have used throughout history.


On a side note, I understand that Fifty Shades of Grey has not been well-received by the BDSM community because of its unethical and inaccurate portrayal of BDSM.


But… When I read the book, I noticed that Christian Grey actually uses a lot of tactics and strategies that you can learn about in The Art of Seduction. He may not be a good Dom, but he knows how to seduce.


I don’t believe the author read The Art of Seduction, but can imagine what her readers would find seductive. And, The Art of Seduction would explain the science (and art) behind it all.


Anyway, that’s my 2 cents. 🙂

Robert Greene is an excellent author. I'm going to purchase this book. I watched his YouTube about his books, read a few pages at the library and said I'd go back for it but with school and work I hadn't had the time.
