Bullying has never really been a problem at my schools. I've always gone to catholic school and I don't know if it's because the rules are a lot stricter but I never had a problem with bullying and neither has anyone I know

its part of life and growing up.
some may experience to a point where it seems like a living hell. I've defiantly been there, and it was bad. but eventually i fought my fear and headbutted the bully. it worked out great.

PROBLEM!!! I'm just going to say it; adults, parents, teachers... they don't help!! They just make it worse and try to punish you!

I'm not saying its an over exaggeration! :O Its a question to the public for an opinion. I personally know that its not an over exaggeration. Some people think its an exaggeration, and some don't.

frankly bullying is a big problem that can be solved with a little thing called standing up for yourself and fighting back

They can get into trouble for even fighting back. I know this because one of my brothers was in the situation in which an ugly asshole picked a fight with him and threw the first punch.

@RationalLioness Is right. I got into a fight in 8th grade because this girl kept picking at me and I defended myself. I got suspended for two days, and my aunt was mad. Yet she was the one that told me to not let anyone put their hands on me. WTF

Some schools will kick you out completely and it can be a bigger problem than we realize.

It's wrong to START a fight with a bully because then the bully looks like the victim in this scenario and it doesn't help. Stabbing someone in the neck with a pen is insane. You fight when someone fights YOU--you don't initiate it. So you deserved the punishment that you got unless if they started the fight physically (and it doesn't sound like it) in my opinion.

Correct @ Laura1995. I don't think if you're defending yourself, you should get into trouble.

Sooo, the underlying moral of this story is: Never throw the first punch. Let them swing first, and you can then take it into your own hands. But not before then. Self-defense is explainable, assault/battery is not...

Yes, I agree that no one should be suspended or in trouble for defending themselves. When the school doesn't do crap about it, then the person will take matters into their own hands.

I've never taken "bullying" seriously. If something is really a problem, tell school authorities. If that doesn't work, you fight back when the bully is off guard.
