Is being called cheeky good or bad?

A lot of people I have met described me as cheeky i looked around but there's no definite wether it's good or bad. I'm 18 by the way adults have called me cheeky so have people my age

This question is impossible to accurately answer without context.

In the bad way, it means you have a smart mouth on your or push your luck. Usually it's verbal, sometimes it's actions. "Cheeking" someone is to speak insolently or disrespectfully to them.

In the good way, it means you pretty much are doing the bad way but in a charming, endearing or less offensive way.

There has been many times but here's one example. I took a pack of cigarettes from an elder relative infront of them without them even noticing and a couple of acquaintances called me cheeky
