What does it mean when a guy gives you his property?

I've been talking to this guy who I'm really feeling, and I'm sure he's feeling me too. The other day he did something a little curious. He wears this ball cap ALL the time, but when I'm spending time with him I take it and put it on my head. Well the other day he GAVE me his ball cap to have. What does it mean when a guy gives you his property?

He probably liked how you looked in it, it was something he might not have seen before on you and he thought it looked good, but not all the time but once in awhile he likes to see it on you so that he knows that liked the thought that he gave it you and he feels good that you liked it and he will do more again that now he knows that you liked it so to me he liked what he saw and he likes you and will do anything for you

My hubby gave me his fave shirt to sport when we were first seeing each other and I have had Boyfriends in the past give me their property as well so from my own experience he is probably into you as well.
