Is it normal for a guy to only have 30 Facebook friends?

I noticed on the guys I likes Facebook he only has 30 friends, whereas I have 300 odd. I panicked slightly when I saw this because I thought it was a sign that he wasn't who he says he is. But then I thought if I go through my Facebook and delete everyone I don't really know personally then I would probably have about the same.

We have no mutual friends but I have mutual friends with some of his friends. He's friends with his mum on there. He has told me that he doesn't really have any friends and that he just drifted away from them after high school so all he has his flat mates which he just considers on an aquantince level. I can tell he is very much a family person as he is always talking about them. Is it possible that he's just friends with mainly his family on Facebook and just a few other random people? Is this normal or a red flag? Should i ask him about it?

I think it is normal. I have upwards of 800 friends on mine. Now I have gotten friends requests from people who have that number or less with no friends in common. So the next thing I check for is how long has their page been up. How many posts and I also look at the interaction on those posts. If there is none and if the profile was created fairly recently with no interaction on those posts, I am going to assume it is a fake account.

There are plenty of posts from people saying happy birthday and a few people saying what they like about him, saying they worked together, there's an ex that I just found and am pissing myself laughing at because I never thought he was that lovey dovey 😂

If you ask me, this is a pretty silly thing to worry about. The human brain can only remember 150 people, so I'm guessing this guy only adds people he actively cares about

He seems a nice guy, I think you shouldn't worry. My boyfriend just has 40-50 friends on Facebook because he don't accept/add anyone he don't know or talk. So, I think it's normal. (:

I'm not really sure why do some people have like 2000 "friends" on Facebook I myself have like 400.

The average is 200, but that's skewed since some people (like super hot chicks) have 3000. So the average elevates. But I would say for a normal person anywhere from 30 to 100 is average. For people you actually carry about

Maybe he just doesn't use it that much. I have a number in a similar ballpark to that and I could add a bunch of random people or mutual friends if I wanted to, and I really kind of just don't care. I'm not exactly popular either though.

Imhave like 50 FB friends, mostly family and some old friends. I dont accept business or casual friends on FB. On Linkedin, I have close to 800 people as O see that as different.
