Do some conversations ever leave you feeling empty?

Like maybe you had expected a certain outcome from a conversation and it didn't happen, or it just was...generally lackluster compared to other conversations you've had with that person?

Is it something that ever sticks with you in the back of your mind for a little while and you can't shake why you feel empty and dissatisfied from that conversation?

Im going through this right now and it's drivin me bonkers.

Yeah, there's one girl I met on a trip that was awesome when we were face to face, but now that we've parted ways every convo we have is just... not great.
And then there are the conversations with people that you really like, but you just know they aren't going to go anywhere.
Let's not forget the philosophical discussions with people you just can't persuade to your point of view.

I've been pissed off before after a conversation but feeling empty? im not even sure what that feels like, I don't think I have. then again I haven't had a real spiritual or deep conversation with anyone in a really really long time..

Yup. I have. And the feeling afterwards sucks because it's like "damn, that's so left field of what I was expecting. Especially with you." Which is why I try my best to leave expectations out of things. They don't do nothing but come back to bite you in the end. Way easier said than done, but yeah.

I get this all the time when the guy who I like and I have a conversation and he doesn't reply, or when we have a conversation that goes nowhere, it kind of hurts I think :(

You can't expect a conversation about sandwich spread to go on for hours for instance.
