Christians, is being biromantic as bad to you as being gay?

Okay, so i'm asexual, i have no sexual attraction whatsoever for either sexes, which you probably don't believe to be a real thing, but lets just say it is. I'm biromantic, which pretty much means i get romantic feelings for both sexes. But the reason i'm asking is that my mother is quite religious, i'm not. And i was wondering if i told her or something, would it be as bad to her as being straight up gay?

I am Christian. I have no idea how one can genuinely argue that sexual preference and a core belief system can possibly be related.

If you practice the core values of a faith, I fail to see how some characteristic you're born with should limit you in any way.

Sure, it says man shall not lie with man in the bible. It also says adultery is a sin. So is eating shellfish. So is coveting what your neighbor has. And EVERYONE in the world has done at least one of those things.

You know what it also says? If you accept Christ into your life, he will stand in front of you before God and cloak you in his righteousness so that you might enter heaven.

So... that's my thought on the topic.

I am also biromantic and I am Christian. To be honest, I'm not sure how the church feels about romantic attraction vs sexual attraction. But I made the decision not to tell anybody about being biromantic, just because I don't want my best female friend (who I do have romantic feelings for) to feel weird about me, and I also don't want my boyfriend to get weird about me hanging out with other girls.

I think its counterintuitive to your independance to seek approval from anyone, let alone your parents or a religion.

Some think its necessary for parents to know stuff like this or to have some big talk. But its not your responsibility to do that. I mean i could say im straight technically, but my sexuality is so much deeper than that. And my parents dont need the updates ;)

She's not going to care. Saint Paul himself talked of "eunuchs" and others whom didn't experience sexual desire. He praised them as being holy keepers of their bodies.

Your question is directed at us, but the person you're asking about is your mother. Personally I wouldn't volunteer any information. What's the point? If you're truly asexual, you'll be happier (and will make his life less miserable) avoiding a man.
